Mila Kunis is a celebrity that often shows up with beautiful makeup not to mention her dresses. When I saw the pictures of her from the Sag awards -11 I just had to copy her makeup. The Alexander McQueen she was wearing was also beautiful on her! I read here that the makeup atrist has used Lancôme products on her but since I don´t own any of the products I´ve dug through my makeup collection for something similar and you can do the same if you don´t have any of the products mentioned. milakunis Makeup tutorial: Mila Kunis Sag Awards 1. Mila Kunis has big and beautiful eyebrows with a high arch so I used Mac Omega eyeshadow together with Mac Coquette eyeshadow to make my own eyebrows bigger like hers. Since I´m blond I´m using lighter shades, but still as dark as I can go to make them dominant. eyebrows Makeup tutorial: Mila Kunis Sag Awards 2. Since we´re using eyeshadows we need a primer and a base. I´ve used Mac Painterly paint pot and Mac Blanc Type e/s all over the lid. Instead of Midnight Rush and Volcano from Lancôme I´ve used Mac Scene on the lid washed on with a Mac 217 brush. This is actually one of my least favorite eyeshadows to use over bigger areas because it´s really difficult to blend evenly but it works brilliantly to smoke out other colours! IMG 7374 Makeup tutorial: Mila Kunis Sag Awards 3. To add some warmth and definition to the crease I blended in Mac Swiss Chocolate in the outer corner of the crease and blended it upwards towards the end of the eyebrow. IMG 7385 Makeup tutorial: Mila Kunis Sag Awards 4. To get her sultry intense glance we need a lot of eyeliner. If you have small eyes you might want to avoid lining up your waterline. I´ve used Mac Blacktrack and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on pencil in Zero. You don´t have to be very careful with the lines as we´re going to smudge it out in a second, just make sure you get it really close to the lashes so that you don´t get any white patches in between. IMG 7390 Makeup tutorial: Mila Kunis Sag Awards 5. Take some of the same grey eyeshadow you used earlier and use it to smudge out the eyeliner with small back and forth strokes. The Mac 214 brush is brilliant for this purpose! IMG 7392 Makeup tutorial: Mila Kunis Sag Awards 6. Apply some highlighter to the brow bone and finish off with mascara. I used Mac Dazzle light on the brow bone and YSL Faux Cils in black. If I was going out I would definitely apply some false lashes to this look but since I forgot my glue in Norway I didn´t have a choice. You´ll absolutely get a more flirty look like Mila´s with falsies! IMG 7426 Makeup tutorial: Mila Kunis Sag Awards

Which celebrity do you think always look stunning on the red carpet?

fairmontspafitness A new and better life style: Day 1

James has, as previously mentioned, won a competition giving him one months free membership for both of us at one of Monaco’s top fitness centers. I had my first day at the Willow Stream Fitness Center at the Fairmont Hotel today and I´m completely captivated! On my way to the gym I must admit that I was slightly nervous that I wouldn´t be able to keep up the pace since I am simply not in the same shape as I once was when I was a dancer and got  pangs if I didn´t stop by the gym every day. Oh silly uncertainty go away, it was nothing to worry about :)

reception A new and better life style: Day 1

The fitness center was well arranged and the decoration and fresh colours gave it a comfortable atmosphere. The changing rooms had both sauna and hammam which I´m vey excited about, and the rooms were also filled up with wonderful spa products!

hallway A new and better life style: Day 1

As soon as I placed my foot inside the gym, a personal trainer (the same guy that coaches James) and the person responsible for the spa department came over and told me everything there was to know. They both seemed like very nice people! I made an appointment with the personal trainer to go over all of the equipment tomorrow so that I´ll have a professional plan for the rest of the month! I am sure that I´ll see the woman responsible for the spa at some point too …. ;)I didn´t get to test all of the equipment today,  but I noticed that they were all equipped with a bottle of water, and towels were delicately rolled up in cute little stands in every corner. The treadmills were equipped with television screens with lots of different channels so I quickly jumped on and managed to find an episode of Desperate Housewives dubbed in French – excerise, entertainment and language lesson in one - hello Miss Multi-tasking! :) 30 minutes flew by and it was time for the class “90-60-90″. I´m not entirely sure what the numbers stand for, but I’m guessing that it may have something to do with womens ideal measurements and that the class covers all parts of the body. Works for me! :)

When it was time for the mysterious ”90-60-90-class” the lovely receptionist showed me down the stairs to the room where the class would take place. I thought at first that she had misunderstood what I had asked for as there was no one there and the class was tjust about to begin.  Normally classes like this are crowded and  you usually have to be a little early to make sure of a good spot. While I waited for a sign of life the gym manager approached me and introduced herself with her business card and everything. This was the third person coming up to me on my first day and it has never happened to me in any of the gyms I’ve been to in Norway!Exactly five minutes later, the same personal trainer as before came in with a really nice girl from London. It was just the three of us in the class and I am very happy with it as I felt we both got much more out of the class since he was really good at keeping a close eye at us and pushing us further. The “90-60-90-class” was as suspected a work out for the whole body and I ended up walking out like a quivering wreck after reinvigorating  muscles that had been in hibernation for too long. Despite the tremors it feels incredibly good and I´m really looking forward to more tomorrow and maybe I´ll check out the pool as well ;)

Have you ever worked out with a personal trainer? Do you think it makes a difference?

One of the biggest hotels in Monaco, The Fairmont, were having a big contest together with Riviera Radio for one months premium membership to their gym,  The Willow Stream Fitness Center, with three personal trainers, spa treatments and god knows what else. Guess who won the whole thing? James of course. So while he´s off getting fit and pampered I´ve cleaned the apartment (he´s been on his own for three days) and done some secret shopping online since I felt I deserved a little treat! (I don´t do this every time I clean btw ;))

These beauties are now on their way to me :D

tedbaker copy A package from Asos on its way to me :D

Both from Ted Baker (notice the bands on the gorgeous red and that the maxi is 100% silk AND full length as we like it :) )

asos salon A package from Asos on its way to me :D

This is Asos Salon and I love the folds on the back which I can imagine will give any flat buttom a little lift ;)

James came home completely exhausted after 3 hours of hard training with a big pushy personal trainer. They went through a program to test his strength and he was very smug and happy with himself. He also asked them if it would be possible for me to join in for a month as well since we´re both looking for a gym to join full time and that I would have the last word on any decision anyway… and they said yes!!!!! Oh James, Mr. Kind, thoughtful and convincing! You can imagine how bad I felt for my secret online shopping!

I won´t have the same program with personal trainers, spa treatments and all of that but I will have free access to the equipment and classes! We also decided that it would make sense for me to get one hour of personal training the first day so that I know what to focus on. I´m so excited and can´t wait to start!! Maybe my bottom will look brazilian in the Asos Salon dress at the end of the month ;) Again, how is it possible to be this lucky?? :D

Do you sometimes treat yourself with something nice online when you´ve done good and then feel bad about it later? Do you work out with a personal trainer?

I´m back from a lovely weekend in Norway, although I wasn´t too lucky at the hairdresser (more about that later), and even though it´s nice to visit friends and family it sure feels nice to come back home to James, the love of my life, again!

Since the month is almost over I wanted to remind you about the contest for the beautiful Dior Amber Diamond #002  highlight palette!! I´m giving away three palettes plus a few surprise prizes which means that there is a good chance of winning something!! ;)

Untitled 114 My Milkshake Brings All the Boys To The Yard, Damn Right!

Blazer from Zara, ring from Bvlgari

Häagen-Dazs opened their outdoor terrace yesterday and it´s located just in front of the Casino in the middle of the Casino gardens. I´ve been craving chocolate for days so I was in heaven when the chocolate milkhake (with Belgian Chocolate ice cream) and my Chocolate and Caramel Sensation arrived at the table! I now wish I could say that the little Cookie Crunch in the tall glass was mine but I actually had both the milkshake and the brownie/chocolate cream thing on my own! I´m not a big dessert fan, but this is just amazing!! I guess I have to step up my exercise for a couple of weeks but what is life if you can´t enjoy a calorie bomb from time to time ;)

Tomorrow I have a long awaited nail appointment to file down my talons and restore them to nails and on friday I have an eagerly anticipated hair appointment in Norway before a Vino-Fino party with the girls :)

We had a dicussion about who does the best ice cream of Ben & Jerry´s and Häagen-Dazs, what do you think?

cheryl bondage tights In my closet: Wolford Bandage Tights in the style of Cheryl Cole

When I saw Cheryl Cole in these tights I knew instantly that they would end up in my closet. I´m completely head over heels for them! I love how they can spice up an outfit that needs a bit of an oomph, The arey the perfect accessory! Now that spring is finally upon us and we can succumb to the urge to wear fewer clothes I think that these can be a cool and sexy alternative to plain black tights without showing too much legs.

[pullquote]20 Denier appearance

I´ve also worn them with a ankle jumpsuit and I got comments about how cool my shoes were and how perfectly wrapped up they were. I just smiled ;)

Other celebrities also spotted in these lovlies:

Nicki Minaj, Khloe Kardashian and Hayley Williams. I have to say that Khloe Kardashian is wearing them beautifully!

They are a bit on the pricey side (£35), but they seem to be good quality and they become an accessory like shoes so I think they are worth it! ;) I got mine from Asos.com for but I´ve found some dupes that are much cheaper from Topshop and River Island. River Island atually has loads of funny tights!

Do you stick to plain black/camel or would you jump into these for the right occasion?

IMG 7124 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

Inspired by the beautiful sea and watching it turn from turquoise to blue and by the way it hits the purple sun setting at the end of the day I created this look as my first summer look! I can´t emphasise enough how excited I am to see summer just around the corner! This whole look is done using products from Mac Cosmetics simply because I was standing with my palettes in front of me, you can obviously switch out the products for what ever you have that is similar :)

1. Start of with a primer on the lid to make sure that the eyeshadows don´t crease and to get a more vibrant colour pay off. I like to use Mac Paint Pot in Painterly. Pat on some turquoise eyeshadow in the inner corner and buff it outwards almost to the end like in the picture underneath. I´ve used Mac Steamy with a Mac 239 brush.

IMG 7013 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

2. Blend in a blue eyeshadow in the outer corner and towards the green. Make sure it´s well blended without any harsh transition lines. I used Mac Fresh Water and applied it with the other side of the Mac 239 brush I used for Steamy.

IMG 7016 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

3. Blend in an indigo eyesshadow around the blue and blend it upwards into the crease. I used Mac Parfait Amour and applied it with a Sigma 226.

IMG 7019 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

4.  Take a warmer dark purple and blend it in your crease and blend it upwards. I used Mac Fig 1 and applied it with a Mac 224.

IMG 7020 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

5. To get some more depth in the outer corner you can apply a dark blue. I chose Mac Contrast and applied it with a Mac 217.

IMG 7021 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

6. Drag the blue and purple underneath the eye as well and apply the turquoise eyeshadow in the inner corner. Finally it´s starting to take shape ;)

IMG 7028 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

7.  Line your eyes with a dark grey/black eyeshadow. This creates a softer and more smokey line then using a pencil, gel or liquid liner. I used Mac Typographic which is my all time favorite when it comes to a blackish colour for smokey looks.

IMG 7034 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

8. If you don´t really like to use falsies then you can jump over this step and just apply mascara. I decided to go for a pair of cute and flirty falsies from Mac in no 7.

IMG 7082 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

IMG 7067 Summer loving :) Tutorial with turquoise, blue and purple

On my face I used: Mac Studio Sculpt in Nc 20, Mac Studio finish compact foundation in Nc 15, Mac Pinch o´Peach blush, Mac Fleur Power blush, Chanel bronzer and mac Omega and Coquette eyeshadow on my eyebrows.

I hope you´re having a lovely saturday night!! I´m off to have some wine at a friends place.. :)

IMG 6995 Lunch at the beach

The weather was just so nice today that I dragged James down to the beach for some lovely lunch and a glass of rosé. It feels so good to be able to sit outside again in just a shirt and I can´t wait until it is hot enough for bikinis as well :) James went to check out the water and he said it wasn´t too bad actually. Not long afterwards we saw a fully dressed guy walking around in the sea with the water up to his belly.. strange!

IMG 6993 Lunch at the beach

On the way down to the beach we decided to stop in at our new flat to see how the works are progressing (slowly) and to check out the view on a sunny day. At least the view is beautiful and luckily the sun hits the whole terrasse. I´m thinking of getting binoculars so that I can spy on whose on the beach before I get there haha ;)

IMG 6961 Lunch at the beach

This is the view from the new apartment and the last picture shows the view from our bed. The building in the same picture is called the Grimaldi Forum, which is where Zelos (club / restaurant) is and the basement is where we saw the Michael Jackson Thriller Live show. The middle floor is now empty but there is something new coming soon, I will let you know as soon as I do.

It is not a bad view to wake up to. In fact this will also be the view from my “office” where I´ll be blogging from in the future :) I can´t wait to get everything sorted and have all my things around me again. I promise that I will be much better at blogging as soon as we get into the new flat so please just hang on in there :)

Hope you had a wonderful Saturday morning sweets! I’ll post a tutorial on a supercute summery look later today ;)

I woke up to the sunniest day of the year so far and the beauty of Monaco wows me over and over again, what a view to wake up to! Aren´t the colours just amazing??

IMG 69421 I´ve got sunshine!! :)
I got a call from a friend asking if I wanted to join her for lunch on the beach so I put on some of my new spring pieces from Zara and brought the camera with me :) If I had known just how nice the weather was I would have worn a t-shirt instead of a blouse because people were actually sunbathing in their bikinis!! To celebrate the sun we had some glasses of rosé and pointed our noses towards the sun hoping to catch some freckles. Eagerly, I called James to get him out of the office and down to the beach too, and it didn´t take long before he emerged as well :)

IMG 6944 I´ve got sunshine!! :)

I realize that I should probably have taken the picture of the glass a couple of minutes before, but it was my first glass of rosé this year so my mind was somewhere else ;) We were the last ones to leave from our favorite part of the beach, La Note Bleu, and then strolled happy and satisfied after a dose of wine, sunshine and laughter. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! :D

IMG 6950 I´ve got sunshine!! :)

Last night we went for a really nice dinner at Avenue 31 and then headed off to Jimmy´z which is a world famous super club. Normally Jimmy´z is a lot of fun and a late night, but I had awfully sore feet from forcing them into rather uncomfortable but very pretty heels. Luckily James wasn´t really feeling it either so we left after an hour or so. The weather forecast for today is lovely as well so I would much rather enjoy a nice day at the beach again than battling with a hangover. I need all the sun I can get now that I´m heading back to Norway where I´ve heard rumours of snow?

I hope you all had a lovely friday girls!! xx
