Overwhelmed

Wow I have no words for the amazing feedback I got for the header, I had never thought I would get so many replies. You are all such amazing girls and I feel so fortunate to get all of these wonderful comments, thank you so much for taking the time! I appreciate it more than you will ever know as I’m sitting here jumping up and down on my chair with the biggest smile on my face :D YOU are amazing!!! :D It is always so scary to change the header in case everyone will hate it, so it makes me really happy to hear that you like it and hopefully will still come and visit me :) <3

Yesterday we went for a curry with a couple of friends of ours which I haven’t seen for weeks due to all the travelling. We have actually been travelling for about 8 weeks now with the exception of a couple of days in Monaco in between new destinations. Paris,Beirut,Milan,Norway,Sweden and London several times. I really love to travel, but it’s nice to have a few days at home as well to see friends and to have your own belongings around you. Anyway, I got the most amazing birthday present!! :

I hope you’re all having lovely start of the week. James is off to London today and I my self have a few things to take care of before the apartment will be filled with movers here tomorrow. No, hehe.. we are not moving but James is moving office and some of the things from his old office is coming home which means we need to reorganise a little – my favorite thing to do :D

Yes, that’s right. I’ve reorganised the entire dressing room and replaced the fun summer clothes with warm and cozy autumn and winter clothes. I was planning on doing it all this morning, but then I forgot I had an appointment with the nail designer so it eventually took me all day. I just finished the organising now but we are meeting some friends very soon so I have no time to show you the result today, so I will post it first thing in the morning ;)

I’ve been going to a new nail designer almost every time since I moved to Monaco in search of finding someone I’m happy with and now I’ve finally found the One, after one and a half years. I didn’t have to explain how I wanted it and she didn’t even ask.. she just did. If you live in Monaco you should definitely go to Valerie at Nail Box (12 rue Princesse Caroline). Magic hands, really friendly AND she speaks english :)

Ooh, and I almost forgot!! Because I got so many responds on the Caesar salad I thought I’d share my super delicious lunch with you as well :)

Lettuce and green leafs, avocado, tomato, red paprika, crutons, cashew nuts, strawberries and grilled spicy chicken with some parmesan drizzled on the top. The mix of the salty cashews, sweet strawberries, spicy chicken and crunchy salad is amazing. You have to try this :) How do you like your salad?

I’ve been asked to do this a million times and I’ve really wanted to as well as I find it really interesting to see what other people are caring around in their bags. As I told you yesterday I did a whole photoshoot of the content in my bag on the airplane, but turns out that the pictures didn’t turn out as good as I thought so I did another one today – but it’s still with the same content so you can see what I have in my bag when I travel (or at least what I had this time).

Passport.
By Terry Baume de Rose which is a really nice balm I use on lips and cuticles. It gives the lips a beautiful hydrating pink glossy finish without feeling tacky.
Argan oil. I’m addicted! Skin, hair – I use this everywhere!
Shiseido blotting paper, an oily face is never pretty.
Pen and paper.
Apple usb (some planes let you charge your iphone/ipad :)
Hair clip.
Hotel receipts and love letter <3
Mini Flowerbomb perfume.
Keys.
Camera.
Travel size L’Occitane hand creams – LOVE!
Dior purse. I put the letters back on I kinda like it now, theehee.

Gloves.
Kanebo Hydrachange mist which we both love very much so now it’s almost empty :(

Normally I bring the ipad too put I fogot it at home, and on longer flights I bring face wipes, moisturiser and concealer as well. Other than that this is normally all I’ve got :) What do you bring with you on the airplane?

My plan was to spend the last day in London shopping, but as it was pouring down with rain I decided to get a late check out and have a date with one of the new hair masks from Philip Kingley instead, review will come. Tip: Stock up on Use hotel shower caps and use them when you are giving your hair an extra treat, it will help the moisture from the mask obsorb better as the air will prevent the mask from drying out.

As soon as we arrived at the Heathrow airport we went straight for dinner. We both love Giraffe :D

I’ve been asked to do a “what’s in my bag”-post a couple of times, but time has just not been my friend.. untill I was bored to death on the plane that is ;) I tried to read a little bit (and the book really is super exciting) but I just couldn’t keep my mind off the new jewellery I picked up at Accessorize.

Bovey Castle

How I wish I could show you all of the pictures!! As you know James isn’t very eager to have his picture on the blog because of his job, but we got some really great pictures of the two of us and as we were inseparable during the whole stay (except for the spa treatments and a walk aroud the castle) there are not many pictures of only me to share with you, but there are some ;)

I wish I could have brought you all with me to the spa because that was absolutely mind blowing. I had a facial, hot oil scalp treatment, scalp massage, body massage, reflexology and pedicure. I spent hours in there… hahaha. They used the product line from Sundari in which I am completely in love with!!

This is by far the most romantic and amazing birthday I’ve ever had, yet there is more to come…… James is very secretive about the other gift. All I know is that it might take some more time untill it arrives, and I who was already ecstatic about getting an entire weekend at a fairytale castle with endless hours of spa treatments followed by laughter and wine in front of the fireplace with not one single phone interruption. How on earth can he top that?? :D

It is the last day we are here and I’m sitting here feeling so overwhelmed. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have so many fantastic, wonderful and loving people around me and to have received so many messages on Facebook, tweets, emails, calls and text messages. I also feel really fortunate to have so many incredibly thoughtful readers to have gotten so many sweet comments from you wishing me a happy birthday. Thank you all so much, you have no idea how much I appreciate it <3

…And of course, I must have the best boyfriend in the world. I can’t believe he’s real!! I’m sitting in a beautiful castle celebrating my birthday and I have to pinch my arm again and again to understand that it’s real. So unbelievably lucky!! :D

Now we’re heading off back to London again, I will post some pictures as soon as I’m back online.

How gorgeous and amazing is this?? It is of course because of my birthday we are here which some of you have guessed already ;) We just arrived so I just had to show you guys a couple of pictures from their website, but we are staying untill monday so I’m guessing it will be plently of time to take loads of pictures in between spa treatments and champagne sipping. Now we’re off to have a nice dinner and then movies with popcorn in bed. BIG day tomorrow with all kinds of heavenly treatments, I can’t wait!!

Hair secrets: Beautiful curls using a sock and no heat

I’m sure a lot of you (norwegian at least) already know the great method about using a sock to create a bun instead of buying a bun to put inside as you probably read this on another blog a while back as I did, the blogger claimed it was her idea which I now question after having seen the videoes of the very talented girl Loepsie. Loepsie also shows us how to get beautiful curls without using any heat which is a method I instantly fell in love with <3

As James was fully booked with meetings all day today I had to have lunch on my own. Normally I order room service, but today I decided to try out the concept of having lunch by my self so I went makeupless to the fifth floor of Harvey Nichs to have a quiet and lonely lunch by my self. I ended up doing what everyone else apperantly does, I frowned at my phone texting frenetically to show everyone that I do have friends while playing around with the food leaving half of it behind hahaha. How do you feel about having lunch by your self at restaurants? It can’t be just me who feels uncomfortable with this?

To fix this lonely feeling I somehow found my self stumbling into the makeup department of Harvey Nichs feeling a tad bit misplaced as I had no makeup on but on the other hand they left me alone instead of trying to throw all kinds of makeup in my face. I was dying to check out the new Tom Ford collection especially the brow pencil that supposedly draws hair, but gee was I disappointed. The brow pencil does not draw hairs, not even thick hairs. It works just as good as any other brow pencil. If anything some of the eyeshadows were quite nice, but not worth the price.

Keeping it simple today: No makeup, no jewellery (except for a watch), shirt from Zara, jeans from Levi’s and boots from my aunts shop in Norway. I wore the same coat as I did yesterday which is from Karen Millen together with a scarf from Malene Birger and a Balenciaga bag.

I am in desperate need of a gel refill and some filing (I like short nails) but due to all this travelling I simply haven’t yet had time to do so, so in a attempt to conceal the obvious I’ve put on a couple of layers of one of Chanels new autumn nail polishes, Graphite, which I am completely in love with!! It’s such a gorgeous greenish sparkling colour which is perfect together with the coat from Karen Millen :) Love, love love.

I was so excited about the weekend coming up yesterday that I mentally skipped thursday (today) and thought we could just jump from wednesday to friday which obviously didn’t work out so well for me. Unfortunaltely this means I misinformed you yesterday, we are not going away untill tomorrow heehee ;) Maybe I can find a nail salon which have time for me tomorrow?? That would be lovely! *not loving long nails*. Now I’m just going to watch movies in bed untill James comes “home”.

Moblog: London

I had barely unpacked the suit case from Norway when James told me we were going to London. James has arranged the best weekend ever and I can’t wait!!!! He was trying to keep it a surprise but I always manage to squeeze it out of him, moahaha :D We are staying at Sheraton Park Tower untill tomorrow because James has a couple of meetings to attend first, but tomorrow we are off to the most amazing place and I’m so excited!!
