I’m completely in love with these leather skinnys! I saw them at Barney’s the other day but I felt the price tag was a bit too stiff for a pair of jeans, problem is I haven’t been able to get them out of my head since so when I came across the jeans again today I took that as a sign! :D
The shoes were on sale (!) :D So it would be stupid not to get them I guess.. I saved money on it!! :D
This beauty was a gift from James’s father and his lovely wife. They are so incredibly nice, can you believe them? I can’t wait to wear it!! :D
Just wanted to wish you all a wonderful start of the day!! Oh, and I also wanted to say that you should really check out the tracksuit bottoms from Victorias Secret if you haven’t already. I love them! They are so super soft and wonderful to wear around at home :D Every girl should own a pair!
Have a lovely day cupcakes!! I’m off to Malibu today :D Lots of love!!
Yummmmm.. delicious! :D This actually becomes a night club in the night time. Think I’ll have to come back and check that out. The view is amazing and the food is really delicious! Tomorrow we’re going to Malibu to walk on the beach.. so romantic!! <3
After the walk in Rodeo Drive we decided to get soome drinks and a snack at the bar in Chateau Marmont Hotel. When you here about rock stars overdosing in a hotel, it’s this hotel. Here are a few of the names connected to stories to this hotel:
- Keanu Reeves
- John Belushi
- Jim Morrison
- James Dean
- Demi Moore
- Greta Garbo
- Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante
- Lindsay Lohan
- Heath Ledger
- …and the list goes on.
The bar is packed with atmosphere and you can’t help but think about all the crazy things that has gone down. It is said that The Eagles’ song “Hotel California” have been written about Chateau Marmont.
After Barney’s we had a walk around Rodeo Drive :)
Everybody was at Chanel!
It’s still very much Christmas around here :)
The hotel in the background is the hotel from “Pretty Woman” <3
Q: I’ve decided to buy my self a couple of handbags while I’m here but I can’t decide which ones to go for, so I ask you my lovely everyday catwalkers.. which ones do you think I should have a look at? :)
We ordered a taxi to take us to Barney’s and as we were waiting outside the house, I managed to squeeze out a huge amount of white lip cream all over my mouth. At the very same time, one of those awful tourist busses came by hoping to scoop a celebrity (there are plenty of them around this area). In pure reflex I turned around to get rid of the weird looking funky stuff without having a bunch of people staring at me, while James spots the taxi and walks over to wave it over.
The bus stops as it obviously looks like I’m hiding from the cameras and James is saving me with a taxi. Next the guy who drove the bus pulls out his very loud microphone and screams out questions and if I could turn around for photos while everyone in the bus were raping their cameras.. at this point the taxi had driven up so I just kept up my awkward and untrained thing with hiding as I imagine it would be far more embarrasing to look up and reveal I’m not the one they were hoping for which inevitably would look like I was pretending I was a celebrity. I felt so stupid when I got into the taxi, James was like “what the hell are you doing?” haha.. Oh well, next time I won’t turn my back ;)
Blazer from Smythe, jeans from Levi’s, blouse from Zara (no surprise there), Lita shoes from Jeffrey Campbell and handbag from Chanel.
It was actually a lot less nice clothes on sale than I thought it would be so I ended up in the non sale part which kind of defeats the purpose of going shopping this time of the year I guess, but you know..
Anyway, I found one pair of really nice shiny skinny dark blue jeans from Vince, a super nice nude coloured tank top from Alexander Wang and two of the softest t-shirts with the perfect v-neck from Splendid.
I love L.A!! :D I hope you’re all having a lovely time, thoughts goes out for everyone suffering from the awful weather going on in the north of Norway at the moment.
After the delicious turkey lunch had settled down we decided to go to the movies to see “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” which is based on a trilogy of a Swedish writer. I loved all three books (and the Swedish movie) so I was very excited about seeing the American version as I’ve read great reviews of it. I was also very excited about getting James to see it as I’ve tried to explain to him how cool it is, but he’s had the misconseption of it being somewhat girly which it totally isn’t. Anyone read the books? If not, check up author Stig Larsson.
We decided to go to the movies at the Grove which is a very cute shopping village. Unfortunately the shops were closed but it was incredibly nice to walk around and enjoy the lovely Christmas atmosphere.
Isn’t the Santa with his reindeer slade super cool? Not something I would have in my garden, but right here it fits perfectly :D
Tomorrow we’re going to Barneys and lots of fun stuff, but first I need some Beauty sleep. I’m finally starting to turn my body clock :D So, good morning Europe, and good night US :D <3
