March 2012

I have prewritten this post so as you read this we are sitting on the plane on our way to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. I am so excited!! We are going for a week with my whole family to celebrate my mums 60th birthday :) Normally we have gone to Thailand and Mexico on family trips like these but now that we have little ones in the family (my brother has two beautiful kids) we figured it’s easier to go to Gran Canaria because of the short flight. I can hardly remember the last time I was there, so if anyone has any good recommendations for restaurants and clubs, or other things to do then that is highly appreciated :)

I hope you’re all having a lovely day!! xx

I have received lots of requests for a post about how to dress classy and practical for flying, and as I assume this is something that concearns everyone more or less I have put together a post of my best tips. Let’s face it, it’s hard to dress both comfortably and practically, while still looking stylish. The aircon normally makes it very cold on the plane which means bare legs are a bad choice, and very tight pants are not ideal either. If you are flying somewhere warm this may be confusing as you don’t want to melt away upon arrival. So what do I do?

Good morning <3

I have managed to do so much today, and it’s not even 13. I clarely needed the sleep yesterday! I started the day in the gym of the hotel with James at 08, which felt so good! I went running on the treadmill and I surprised my self which is an amazing feeling :D After the gym we went to Cecconis for breakfast, as I really like the food there. I had Avocado on toast with a natural yogurt with granola on the side, pure love! We needed a big breakfast as we’ll probably not have time for a lunch.

After breakfast we went for 30 minute of high impact shopping :)

Now we’re back at the hotel packing up and then we’re off to the airport in 30 minutes. I have prewritten a couple of posts for you for when I’m on the plane ;D I will answer all your comments when we arrive at the hotel tonight.

Have a lovely day!! xx

Bonsoir, mes belles <3

I really love London, and so it’s nice to finally be back again! We’re staying at the Mayfair Hotel which is practically located in the heart of Mayfair, close to many of my favourite places and restaurants. Our room is slightly smaller than we normally have but I don’t mind as we’re only staying for a night anyway. When we arrived I was so exhausted I instantly fell asleep so the bed is just as good, and luckily I woke up just in time for the Friday fun :)

My favourite shoes at the moment – you can get them here (only available in Europe).

After breathing in the life in the bustling streets, we headed off to Aqua for a drink with friends.

The view from the terrasse is really nice:

After drinks we went on to Hakkasan which is the only Michelin star Chinese restaurant! Needless to say the food is divine, but I also love the décor and low lighting, it’s such a soothing and cozy place to be. We actually celebrated the first part of New Years eve in Hakkasan last year. Must tries: Ostrich, black truffle duck and chinese wild mushroom soup.

Now I’m so full and so happy that I will without a doubt fall asleep instantly yet again. We have planned an early morning tomorrow as we have a few things to take care of (and I would like to do some shopping) before our flight to Gran Canaria takes off at 15.30 :)

I hope you’re having a lovely and relaxing/fun Friday night! Sweet dreams! xx

Good morning <3

Wow, it’s early! I can’t believe we ended up with a flight this early. At least we will have a full day in London which is always good thing read shopping :D We are staying in Mayfair which I like a lot because then I know exactly how to get to the shops I like without having to drive around in a taxi. I have managed to only pack half the suitcase so that I can add in some new goodies on the way.

Oops, really have to run now, the driver will be outside any minute and I haven’t even packed my toiletries :) The flight takes off at 7.30 :O I’ll show you my outfit once we arrive in London as many of you have asked how I like to dress while traveling. Untill then I wish you all a wonderful morning!! xx

Today James and I went shopping. It was unbearable to sit inside on the computer so I convinced James he needed some new shorts, which he actually did in faireness. We also picked up James’s watch at Bulgari, had lunch and enjoyed the sun. Monaco is packed with tourists already, I think this will be a busy year. It would be nice if more prople came to visit Monaco I think, it’s such a gorgeous place. Look at the Casino today:

I’m wearing Zara from top to toe today, minus the handbag which is from Celine. I love this shirt, such beautiful print! A girl actually came up to me and aksed me where I got it, that is always fun! :)

What do you think about the new design of the blog? I changed it a little bit. Change is good :) I was inspired by another blogger who just recently changed her design so that the pictures became bigger, and it’s so much nicer to look at I think. What do you think?

Good morning <3 I fell asleep the moment I hit the pillow last night. Exhausted. Today I feel much better, and waking up to this beautiful view made my morning even better. How gorgous is this boat? It is one of the largest privately-owned sailing yachts in the world at 88 m. It looks much smaller on the pictures than in real life, it’s massive!! The thing I’m most impressed by is that it’s possible for a single person to pilot the yacht using a remote control. Imagine chilling out on the deck while just pushing a few buttons to master the boat! If you want to rent this beauty you will have to pay between €325,000 to €335,000 per week, plus expenses. So whoever is sailing out there today is paying alot to have fun out there :)

Today I’m wearing my new pair of shorts from Runway Dreamz which arrived just before I went to Norway. They are handmade and made upon request so they are all slightly different and you may have to wait a few weeks before it arrives, but it’s worth it. I feel I was really lucky with mine as I am super happy with how it looks like, and it matches perfectly to a bikini from Pain de Sucre which I got last year. Definitely bringing these with me on Saturday. Or, tomorrow I guess. We are flying to London tomorrow to stay there over the night before we fly to Las Palmas on Saturday. I can’t wait!! A whole week of just chilling out by the pool surrounded by all the people I love the most, there are no words that can describe who excited I am about that.

I’m hoping I will get some work done today so that I won’t have to bring anything with me, but I also have a few errands to run.. whoa, better get moving. I wish you all a wonderful day!! xx

…and I have nails again. I’ve said it before, but incase I have new readers I will say it again. Nail Box in Rue de Caroline is the best place to go for gel nails in Monaco, and Valorie is the best nail technician at Nail Box. Not only is my fingertips feminine and fresh, I also got my toe nails pretty in french manicure with gel-lack, but I’ll spare you for a foot picture. If you don’t know what gel-lack is you should check it out, it is nail polish that stays on for about 14 days without any chipping – perfect for the toes in summer!

After the nail apointment I went for a little stroll along the port in La Condamine. The port is full with boats, sailboats and yachts in all sizes at the moment. They are all being polished and perfected for the season. Some of these are so massive that it’s hard to wrap the mind around why someone would need that much space in a boat. Often these yachts are never even taken out at sea as it costs too much, and instead they are being rented out for events like this one I went to last year. This year for F1 Grand Prix we are spending the day in a rented yacht, that way we can see the race and still chill out with friends in the sun.

When I got back to the flat I was so warm I had to jump straight into shorts and t-shirt, it’s way too hot for long sleeves now – even blouses. Insane, but what’s not to love? :)

I have to get back to work now, catch you later sweets xx

Good morning babes <3 The apointment at the dentist yesterday turned out very unexpectingly. I sat down in the chair and he started knocking on the teeth, after he was done knocking he said there was nothing he could do as it all seemed fine and made me pay 60 euros. Wonderful, isn’t it? So, yeah.. I will continue going to my dentist in Norway from now on hehe. At least the wall unit turned out fabulous! I’m so happy to see it all come together, if only the furniture from the US can turn up soon that would be amazing!

Today I’m going to Nail Box to get my nails done. I haven’t had gel nails for over a month now so I’m quite excited to be honest. I’m also working on a project where a company has asked me to do the logo which is a lot of fun, hopefully I mange to get that done before we leave on Friday. Or was it Thursday? Aaah, need to pack!! :D

Have a fabulous day!! :*
