Frequently asked questions
About me
1. Where in Norway are you from, how did you grow up and how often are you in Norway?
Actually I was born and raised in Sweden. I lived in Stenungsund right outside of Gothenburg untill my parents split, we then moved with my mum back to her home town Sandefjord which is a really beautiful town in the south east of Norway. I try to come home to Norway as often as I can which is about once every second month.
2. You are travelling a lot, but what do you do when you’re home in Monaco? :)
Normally I spend a lot of time working on the blog, answering emails, meeting up with friends on the beach or for coffees, going shopping, meeting up for lunch with James and try to do some exercise in between. Evenings are often spent with friends in restaurants or at home in the sofa, and in the weekends we sometimes smarten up and go out for drinks after dinner as well :)
3. What do you want more than anything for Christmas? (world peace is not an option ;) )
Shoot, that was exactly what I wanted to say!! ;) I know this is a really boring answer, but to be honest there is nothing more I could wish for. I am very happy and feel like I’m the luckiest girl in the world. If anything it would be that the health of all my friends and family stays good.
4. How is life in Monaco?
Monaco is a great place when it comes to having lazy days on the beach from may untill september and I have to admit that the parting isn’t too bad either. In fact in my opinion it’s the nicest place to be during the summer and it’s a relatively short trip home to my family in Norway as well, which I really appreciate. In the winter time however there isn’t much to do and there are a lot fewer people around. Monaco is a very small place which means that you know most people after a short period of time. I feel very lucky that I can come with James on his business travels to see and explore different places.
5. What languages do you speak?
I speak norwegian, swedish and english. I’m also constantly trying to improve my french, german and spanish as well. So far I’m understanding more than I actually speak.
6. What is your favorite destination/holiday place?
That is a very difficult question because there are so many places I love and it depends on what kind of holiday you are looking for. I would probably have to say Thailand because Thailand was the first country I really explored and I learnt so much about my self while doing so. Also the beaches are beautiful, the people are kind and the food is really good. As for shopping there is no other place like London to me, while Rome must be the most romantic place for a couple to visit.
James and I
1. How did you and your boyfriend meet?
I lived in the south of France for a year back in 2007 with a friend of mine from Norway. After a year of lots of fun I decided to travel around the world because I was eager to see more. Whilst I did that, my friend decided to stay because she had a boyfriend and was happy there. During the next couple of years I travelled through South America and Asia and was going to start my studies august -10 and had just enough time to have one more vacation before a very hectic working summer began so naturally I chose to see her. Because it was such a long time since I had been there, she had gotten to know lots of new people and James was one of them :)
2. What does James do/work with?
James does a lot of different things and he is very good at what he does. It’s not my place to say anything more than that.
3. Where is James from?
James is from London but has lived in Monaco the last 4 years.
4. How old is James?
James is three years older than me.
