This updo is really gorgeous and glamorous, and despite it looking like something that would require a great deal of patience it’s actually done in less than 5 min which makes it a great go-to look for too early mornings (…or sunday mornings or just any morning) you just can’t be bothered spending time on your hair.

All you need is:
• Bobby pins
  • Bad hair day
  • Hair spray
Personally I find this look to actually work better on bad hair days than on good hair days because the hair is more light weight and textured. If you’re one of those who don’t have bad hair days (you little lucky duck) you can always create some texture and volume by using some dry shampoo, my all time favourite is by Batiste and is called XXL volume and can be found in Boots for next to nothing.

If I don’t wash my hair for a couple of days it ends up being as dry and intractable as cotton candy, perfect condition for a glamorous updo :)

Right let’s get to it.

1. Take the upper half of your hair and pin back. If you want some volume on the crown you can always tease a little bit first.

2. Divide into three sections.

3. Start with your middle section. Twist the hair and half roll it up while pinning it up. It doesn’t really matter how it looks like as you will have the other two sections up there too. I find that few and loose twisted sections work better for me, but you can of course have several well twisted sections too.

4. Do the same with the other two sections, twist – roll – pin. Have a look in the mirror and reorganise into an organised mess you’re happy with.

5. Do some quick pirouettes to make sure it’s all in place and finish off with hairspray. Tadaaaaa! :)

Honestly I don’t know what’s a bad hair day. But I love these creative ideas. Elegant, cute and simple at the same time.

Hi celina. you are so lucky to have dry hair!
By the way what was your nail polish in DIY post, I think it was your world cup dress too! That is adorable! I seached a lot to find it, even by something but it is not that :(

Lucky to have dry hair? Hardly ;) I had gel nails with a gellac nailpolish on top, I don’t remember the name of the brand but it was a baby pink.

Beautiful Celina! <3 maybe it will also work if you pin the other two over the middle section?!

Thank you! I’m not sure what you mean by pinning the other two over the middle section, but you can of course customise it however you like :)

      Good morning :)

Thank you, Myria! Oh you should’ve seen my hair today, can’t wait to do some serious treatments. These are the days I don’t know what I would’ve done without the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer and Kerastase treatments! xx

I also use kerastase treatments on my hair and find they are really good because my hair is really dry and curly. Have a nice week luv xx

This is such a cute hair style. I don’t usually put my hair up often but I will definitely be trying this next time my hair is unruly!
It’s seems so simple but looks so elegant :)

Thank you for posting this, I have a lot of “bad hair days” so I’m gonna try it very soon hehe I have noticed how all bloggers also do a “how I care about my hair” post with a lot of beauty products and then you can see though their posts how awful their hair look in a daily basis.. Of course you are one of the exceptions :) I also love Olivia Palermo hair, it looks incredibly shiny..

When you use the kingsley elasticizer (I suppose before shampoo) do you use any kerastase mask after washing it? Doesn’t this combination weight your hair down?

Well, today I am one of them because I’m in desperate need of a hair cut – it’s been nearly a year now :O I use the elasticizer before shampooing, and only use a tiny amount of a mask in the ends if it’s been a long time since I was at the hair dresser like now. If my hair is freshly cut I don’t use any. But I don’t use the elasticizer every time I wash my hair :)

Thanks for answering! I’ll try the elastizicer then :)
If you go to the hairdresser again please tell us which products they use on you! (Is it weird that I really enjoy the moment when the hairdresser washes my hair? To me it’s like an ohmmmmm experience)
        Love.

Really? I’m so strange when it comes to this, I really hate having my hair washed at the hairdresser and was actually thinking of being a total weirdo and show up with my hair newly washed and still wet he he…

            a) I have just got out of the gym
            b) my dermatologist has ordered me to use an specific shampoo
            c) washing my hair is part of a daily blood ritual
            d) Linus vomited on my hair
            e) I need to give my best face to the paparazzis that wait for me outside my house every morning

I do this! (although it’s the truth). I have a very sensitive scalp and usually ask the hairdresser when booking if they provide a damp/dry cut. They spray it with some water to dampen it and then cut it. My hair is long and straight with a simple cut anyway but it probably wouldn’t work as well with someone with many layers.

Also, I noticed your gorgeous watch in this post. Do you know if it is medium or large size?

                Thank you

Jeg hadde “3-dagers” hår i dag og trengte en quick updo før en avtale. Har ikke fullt så langt hår som deg, men dette ble slett ikke så værst om jeg kan si det selv. (måtte litt tupering til da..)
