I pride myself in always trying to find the positive in things and this time it’s not very hard to find the positivity it something that started out seeming very negative. I can’t believe all the amazing comments I’ve got from you today. I’ve had tears in my eyes several times, I feel like the luckiest girl to have so many people all around the world being there for me and appreciating the work I put into the blog. Whilst I do keep some parts of my life to myself I still feel the blog is a very personal thing and sharing it with you is a big deal for me. I really feel we share something, whoever and wherever we are.

I´ve been away for several days, and I didn´t have a chance to comment on your previous post. Even if I write comments not very often, I´m still with you in my thoughts :)
Don´t allow anyone to pull you down, as only “small” people judge others in order to feel themselves better. Nobody says you´re perfect, but who is perfect?!But you are an amazing person, and we all know it. Unfortunately, I don´t know you in reality, but by reading your blog I realized that you are the most interesting personality I´ve ever “seen”. You can´t imagine how much you´ve helped me through your posts! I´m very thankful to you for sharing with us a tiny part of your life, and I really appreciate it.

I have a serious fashion question. I love your recommendations and brands, but I have trouble finding some of the brands that ship to the US. I loved the boots you wore in the “Claridge’s in London” post that were from Carvela, but when I checked Kurt Geiger as you recommended I found out they no longer ship to the US. Any thoughts on how I could find those, and other lovely things that are only in the UK/Europe? Would love a post about this or some ideas sprinkled here and there for us State-side fashionistas.
Celina, I can’t imagine anyone farther apart from me than you in terms of age, looks, lifestyle, upbringing and existence in general. Yet I LOVE your blog. You always put a smile on my face and I’ve never felt any “jealousy” that you live this faboo life. That’s because it’s obvious that you are truly grateful for everything you have.
Anyone who would complain about this blog obviously hasn’t read many beauty blogs. Far too many of them have become dull and phony because the writers are reviewing/spotlighting products that they’ve been given by companies in hopes of promotion. I’ve NEVER seen that here on Celina’s blog. Everything she writes about or mentions she obviously truly has interest in. I don’t have to worry that I’m going to click on this link and find a tepid review of some random obscure mineral makeup that she could care less about – but that she feels obligated to mention because someone threw product at her. I don’t care where the $$ comes from – Celina, James, Linus’s poo-poo – if she can keep her integrity and keep the blog a true reflection of her interests. Which of course is the whole point!!

I have also got the impression that you would never look down on others. I admire these qualities very much. I can only assume the people who leave such negative comments are jealous of you, are narrow minded and generally nasty people. Everyone is entitled to their privacy and it is admirable that you have your boundaries and stick to them. Ok, I am a LONG time reader and I am sure you have seen my complements from time to time but I really need to talk about this. YOU ARE FABULOUS SISTER!!! Ok honey?! I don’t give a crap what anyone else says. Don’t you dare feel bad for what you or your boyfriend have. You have it clearly because you deserve it. Know what puts beautiful shoes on your feet? If you read a blog and don’t think it is for you, don’t leave a comment (& spoil it for the rest of us) MOVE ON to one that suits what u are looking for! You have a wonderful life and an amazing partner to share it with (Oh yes, you too Linus) . Obviously James adores you and your life just the way it is. Who and what are these people that seem to think they have the right to wave the critical wand at others? Alot of people download the ENVY APP………in my humble opinion. I don’t think you should take it as negativity or ‘haters’ or necessarily something bad, rather like someone’s opinion – simple as that. I think people feel comfortable with you – you share with them personal moments (ie receiving a gift from a loved one, going for a trip etc). So feeling close to you, they feel like they need to express a ‘complaint’, a suggestion, an idea. It can be frustrating or too harsh but ok this is your blog, you post what you want. I wouldnt take it the wrong way :) (unless someone uses inappropriate language)

I still frequent your blog on a regular basis for the very reasons that you mentioned you want to blog. (I just haven’t left a comment in a while). Just wanted to send a little encouragement your way concerning the negative comments (that I actually haven’t read, I only read your posts). Sadly, there are people who will attempt to criticize not only those who are successful but also who enjoy their life. This is more a reflection on the unhappy people rather than who they are projecting their unhappiness onto. They will do this to anyone who happens to come into their path.
Keep your chin up and ignore those who are more than welcome to read the vast number of other blogs that aren’t as witty (surprised they don’t see that), humorous, light-hearted, sweet, and simply sparkly- lovely. ;)

I just found your blog today and I LOVE it. I have been going back in the archives to read some of what you have been up to and you have such a warm and lovely way of reaching out to your readers.
It never ceases to amaze me that adults can act so childish and petty. Don’t let the few jealous, immature and unkind people overshadow the many who love and admire you. There are more positive readers out there that you should concentrate on. I know it’s easier said than done, but the negative people have the problem, not you.
Also, your Linus is simply adorable!!!!
I have a wonderful husband, a 4 1/2 year old golden retriever, Robbie and two kitties, Mojo and Gizzy who are the loves of my life.

I’ve been reading your blog for half a year now and I enjoy your input about beauty products and pretty things. I can see why people will spout out negativity towards you because you are very pretty and have nice things. People will do that because deep down they want to be you, but instead of giving you a compliment they will try to tear you down to their level. They will look at you with distain and think what they want of you because you are happy and they are not. I’ll get a little personal (even though you have no idea who I am, I feel if we all are willing to put ourselves out on a whim and be personal we can all reach an understanding and gain regard for one another) with you and your readers. I have had a hell-of-a-year. A really-bad-no-good-wanna-crawl-in-a-hole-and-die year. There were many problems at home and I was at school (I’m working on my Masters). I had many responsibilities and I had bouts of anxiety. I felt like a caged animal waiting for someone to come and kill me. I felt like that all of the time. I can happily say that through much hard work and many blessings, my family is doing great now! I am doing great! Life feels so good right now. I’ve been able to loose all of the fear and become what I admire — in the process I cut off all of my hair and donated it to a program that uses the hair to fashion wigs for children that have suffered hair loss due to illness. I got rid of 13 inches of very well cared for hair and I don’t miss it. I walk with a bounce in my step and I believe in love. Hell, I feel so good that I can be the assertive woman that I know I am and go make the first move on a guy that I find worthy of my affections! NO FEAR!!! I feel great most of the time now!
I say most of the time because there are people that sneer at my accomplishments because they are just that — accomplishments. I am bright, young and want to travel now. Life is to be enjoyed now! I know there are rumors among acquaintances that I am a lesbian. I believe in equal rights and it doesn’t hurt me to know they are saying that about me. I don’t find being thought of as a lesbian as offensive. It hurts because I know they are saying it with a sneer — like it’s something bad. They want something to be “wrong” with me because I make them look bad (I say this because its a hard truth). I say that because there is no reason to gossip about me. They see that I haven’t brought a young man home and they think I’m the weird one. But all of the time until now, I just wanted to do was go to school and learn. That makes me different among these close-minded people.
I’ve also had people who I thought were my good, trusted friends say underhanded things to me that undermine my hopes. Then I get thrown back into the animal-in-a-cage feeling. BUT, I now know who I can trust. I know that there are people that are willing to look at what I have and look at me and say, “Why are you sad? Don’t listen to those jerks! You’ve worked hard and deserve everything you have!” And I am learning to only listen to them. They are the people that will help me become the person in my dreams that I admire.
Celina, continue to be happy because it is hard to be happy. And continue to blog! I’d be sad if you stopped. Remember to listen to those who love you and think highly of you — and forget those who want to verbally whip you for doing well in life.
