I’m so happy for all the comments you are leaving me these days, you have no idea how much I appreciate hearing from you! To my boyfriend and friends annoyance I always sneak a peek at my phone during coffee chit chats, dinners, drinks, taxi rides, in queues.. basically everywhere, to check on comments and I truly appreciate each and everyone. However, the situation isn’t always right for writing a response and now that warmer days are upon us and there are more frequent dinners and drinks I thought I would do a new Sunday series of posts called “Questions of the week”. This doesn’t mean I will only respond to questions on Sundays, but it means no question will be left unanswered :) So here are this week’s questions…

I was connected to your blog through pinterest. And the photo is of the neon pink pleated chiffon maxi skirt you have. I’ve tried looking for it every where on your website/blog and can’t find it. Where did you get? Or where might be a good place to purchase one similar? Thank you!

Welcome to the blog! You mean this one? It’s from Manoush but I haven’t seen anything as neon like it I’m afraid. The closest would be this one.

I was just wondering if you get your hair dyed to have that blonde ombre. I have always loved you hair so much and was hoping next time I went to the hairdressers they could do something similar to my hair.

I used to have my hair highlighted until I one day decided enough is enough as it left my hair feeling dry and porous. I went to the hair dresser to get lowlights for a more natural hair colour, but unfortunately I got pure BLACK lowlights and I looked more like Cruella de Ville than the Giselle look I was going for (hoping the legs would come with it of course). They stripped the hair of the black colour and I left the hair salon crying as my hair was far worse leaving than what I came with. I lost sections of hair every time I washed my hair and I was sure I was going bald. I promised myself I would never let any hair dresser touch my hair with colour or bleach again. The summer came, and as I’m a natural blonde the hair got naturally bleached my the sun and towards the winter it got darker, ergo a ombre effect. I’m now about 2 years in and I can never imagine highlighting my hair again. It feels so much healthier now! So my answer would be that I have no idea how you can colour a blonde ombre, and I would advice you to just keep your own natural colour. 

I’m writing you as I’m going to Monaco for a week as my boyfriend has meetings there (love his job) and I have never spent time by myself there, as you live there do you have some tips, nice place to chill other than the beach as I think it is going to rain … Best beauty salon, for good facials, mani pedi …. Please let me know!

It’s about time I get down to doing a Monaco guide for girls, and I am planning on doing it next time I’m in Monaco so I can snap some photos to go along with it. But since you’re going now I’ll pull something together really quickly:

Beauty treatments: I recommend Les Thermes which is the spa of Hotel Hermitage and Hotel de Paris, and the spa of Metropole is good too. Karl Lagerfeld just put his flare to it and it reopened this year. For mani I recommend the nail salon located just by the church in Avenue Saint Charles which is the street just above Avenue des Moulins.

Restaurants: Avenue 31, Maya Bay (both the Japanese and Thai is good), L’Argentine (for steak), and Buddha Bar. For places to chill there’s not much that can beat the beach, but I recommend the hotel lobby of Metrople for a tea and chill, Metropole shopping centre is easy for killing time, Planet café (for a good latte machiato), Le Before (great for an afternoon drink and nibble) and Cafe de Paris for people watching in the sun.

I know you are in London right now. But do you ever go to Paris while living in Monaco? My friend is leaving in 2 days and I have angst, as I loved Paris. You never comment on going there or if you have I missed it. Would love you input on what you think of the city of love. Re shopping, dining and where to stay.

Paris is probably about the same distance, if not closer, to London as Monaco I think so it’s a shame it’s been so long since we last went. I have been to Paris a few times and I love the shopping, but I prefer the people and the culture of London more than Parisians and Paris I must admit. My favourite hotel is the Plaza Athenee, I did a post about the suite we had there last time if you’re interested, you can find it here. It’s situated in Avenue Montaigne which is a great location for shopping! 

I have a question.. as I have a similar dress myself to the Alexander McQueen lace dress you just wore I was wondering what kind of bra you are wearing since I never know what to wear underneath. I hope this question is not too personal or anything, but I am really curious.

This is always a problem and I wish I had a super bra to recommend but I just go au naturel with that dress. The fabric is quite thick and as it’s black it works well. Depending on the size of yours there is always the option of using tape but I find it doesn’t give much support and it works really bad for clubbing…. let me tell you, when that piece of tape falls out on the floor it gives a flash back to that embarrassing feeling in school when your bag tipped over and the tampon rolled out in front of everyone… he he. This one might work though.

What are the measurements of your Chanel bag? And do you still have Lita shoes?

I’m not sure about the measurements, but it’s the jumbo size. I still have the Lita shoes, but I’ve left them in Monaco as I don’t wear them anymore. I wwas thinking of selling them so if you’re interested they will be up for sale once I’m back in Monaco.

I would love a Chanel brooch and pin it on other tweed jacket. Celina would you do that or does the tweed jacket have to be Chanel? I have been noticing the girl in atlantic pacific blog who pins her Chanel broaches on her Zara jackets and she looks absolutely classy! What do you think??

I know some people disagree with me, but I don’t think it matters what brand jacket you place a Chanel brooch on. Saying a Chanel jacket is the only kind you can pin it on sounds a little snobbish to me as not everyone can afford a Chanel jacket. I think Bee from Atlantic Pacific pulls it off beautifully on her Zara coats and I plan on wearing my vintage Chanel brooch with all kinds of brands of jackets too and I think you should too if you want to :)

I love all of your outfit posts but I really am missing your makeup posts, they are always so pretty and you make it so easy to follow along and recreate the look. I’ve read through all your older makeup posts and I’ve loved them! Please do one again soon? :)

Thank you, I’m happy to hear you enjoy them! Unfortunately they take up a lot of time, far more than it would seem, and now that I also do fashion it’s hard to find time. It’s been a long time since I did one so I will try to do one soon. A summery one maybe? Any requests in particular?

What do you think of having posts like this one once a week? I will of course answer in the comment section as much as possible, I will just also answer in the end of the week in case someone else is wondering about the same thing :)
