Bazinga! Now I just waved good bye to my boyfriend who is off to our home in Monaco for the F1 Grand Prix. I decided not to go this year as I’m not a massive f1 fan and I’ve been fortunate to already have experienced it, besides.. I don’t have the heart to leave Linus behind. Tonight I’m out for drinks and I’m tethering across the floor whilst juggling a hair iron, energy bar and lipstick. You know, I drink so rarely nowadays that 2-3 glasses is enough to make me all giggly – not much of a Norwegian viking ;) It hasn’t been a conscious choice not to drink, I’ve just found myself wanting to keep my body as free of toxins as possible. I guess it’s not too bad as I’m sure summer will bring plenty of drinks and a jolly careless Celina to go with them..

What if I told you Hermès has a sale? A MASSIVE anual sale!

WHERE: Palais des Congres at Porte Maillot, Paris

I first heard of this amazing sale last year, right after the sale of course, I decided next year I will not let this sale go past me again. I wish I could tell you there are hundreds and thousands of Birkins and Kellys lined up half price, but unfortunately they are not to be found in the sale. However, scarves are said to be priced at a very favourable price (€175 I believe) as well as previous collections and accessories. Note that Hermès stamp the scarves on sale with an S and there are no gorgeous orange boxes with the purchases and the shopping bags are white. Be prepared for wild and vigorous shopping animals, I will be one of them ;)

Mini Paris Guide

Where to stay: I think one of the best value hotels in Paris is Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan Hotel, Paris Eiffel. It won’t restrict your shopping allowance and the location is good. If you’re looking for the ultimate luxurious place to stay I recommend Plaza Athénée which is near the Champs-Élysées and the Eiffel Tower, you can see some photos of the junior suite here and the suite Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City stayed in here. Whether or not you stay at the hotel I recommend the hotel bar for drinks, it has a lovely atmosphere and great drinks.

Where to eat: As for restaurants it’s almost hard to come by a place where the food is not good, Parisians really understand gastronomy. For starters, there are all the bakeries – those are ubiquitous in Paris! You can’t visit Paris without a bite of a pain au chocolat while gazing at stylish Parisians accessorised with a baguette under their arm rushing past. And lets not forget the macarons, a box of 8 beautiful pastel coloured macarons from Ladurée enjoyed with a loved one with the Eiffel tower in the background is something you will never forget.

What to see: We can’t visit a beautiful city like Paris without sightseeing. Paris is the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to, the architecture feels very strong and powerful with beautiful decorations. The Eiffel tower is obviously a must visit when in Paris – wear shoes for walking and be prepared for long queues and don’t forget your camera. While shopping in Champs-Élysées, take a break and look for the Arc de Triomphe where a trip to the top gives you one of the best panorama views of Paris including the Concorde Square located in the other end of Champs-Élysées which might be the most beautiful place in Paris and also worth a visit. My favourite is Saint Chapelle on the Ile de la Cite which is an amazing chapel built in 1242 where it is thought that the crown of thorns was kept by Louis IX and on a sunny day it is like standing inside a treasure chest.  Lastly, The Louvre Museum is a must when in Paris! Even if you’re not a massive fan of museums it’s still fun to get a glimpse of Mona Lisa, right?

Today is the last day with my Norwegian friend whom I bumbed into on Friday as she’s going back to Norway tomorrow. I’ve been contemplating whether to go with her or not as it’s the Norwegian national day this week and as long as the weather isn’t terrible it’s a wonderful day full of happy faces! The newspaper predicts sun whilst the tv weather report predicts rain.. Shortly after comes grand prix formula 1 in Monaco and I’m not sure whether or not to go for that one either. We’ll move back to Monaco for the summer by the end of June so I might stay in London and just soak up all the British glory of parks, flowers, shops, streets, food, musicals, restaurants, spring events and drinks with friends before we go. I will have plenty of time to enjoy Monaco during the summer :)

I feel awfully anti social here in the corner of the sofa whilst tapping away on the keyboard so I’m going to head out and do something fun with my Norwegian friend for her last night :)

I’m so happy for all the comments you are leaving me these days, you have no idea how much I appreciate hearing from you! To my boyfriend and friends annoyance I always sneak a peek at my phone during coffee chit chats, dinners, drinks, taxi rides, in queues.. basically everywhere, to check on comments and I truly appreciate each and everyone. Welcome to the blog! You mean this one? It’s from Manoush but I haven’t seen anything as neon like it I’m afraid. The closest would be this one.

I was just wondering if you get your hair dyed to have that blonde ombre. I have always loved you hair so much and was hoping next time I went to the hairdressers they could do something similar to my hair.

I used to have my hair highlighted until I one day decided enough is enough as it left my hair feeling dry and porous. I went to the hair dresser to get lowlights for a more natural hair colour, but unfortunately I got pure BLACK lowlights and I looked more like Cruella de Ville than the Giselle look I was going for (hoping the legs would come with it of course). They stripped the hair of the black colour and I left the hair salon crying as my hair was far worse leaving than what I came with. I lost sections of hair every time I washed my hair and I was sure I was going bald. I promised myself I would never let any hair dresser touch my hair with colour or bleach again. The summer came, and as I’m a natural blonde the hair got naturally bleached my the sun and towards the winter it got darker, ergo a ombre effect. I’m now about 2 years in and I can never imagine highlighting my hair again. It feels so much healthier now! So my answer would be that I have no idea how you can colour a blonde ombre, and I would advice you to just keep your own natural colour. 

I’m writing you as I’m going to Monaco for a week as my boyfriend has meetings there (love his job) and I have never spent time by myself there, as you live there do you have some tips, nice place to chill other than the beach as I think it is going to rain … Best beauty salon, for good facials, mani pedi …. Please let me know!

It’s about time I get down to doing a Monaco guide for girls, and I am planning on doing it next time I’m in Monaco so I can snap some photos to go along with it. But since you’re going now I’ll pull something together really quickly:

Beauty treatments: I recommend Les Thermes which is the spa of Hotel Hermitage and Hotel de Paris, and the spa of Metropole is good too. Karl Lagerfeld just put his flare to it and it reopened this year. For mani I recommend the nail salon located just by the church in Avenue Saint Charles which is the street just above Avenue des Moulins.

Restaurants: Avenue 31, Maya Bay (both the Japanese and Thai is good), L’Argentine (for steak), and Buddha Bar. For places to chill there’s not much that can beat the beach, but I recommend the hotel lobby of Metrople for a tea and chill, Metropole shopping centre is easy for killing time, Planet café (for a good latte machiato), Le Before (great for an afternoon drink and nibble) and Cafe de Paris for people watching in the sun.

I know you are in London right now. But do you ever go to Paris while living in Monaco? My friend is leaving in 2 days and I have angst, as I loved Paris. You never comment on going there or if you have I missed it. Would love you input on what you think of the city of love. Re shopping, dining and where to stay.

Paris is probably about the same distance, if not closer, to London as Monaco I think so it’s a shame it’s been so long since we last went. I have been to Paris a few times and I love the shopping, but I prefer the people and the culture of London more than Parisians and Paris I must admit. My favourite hotel is the Plaza Athenee, I did a post about the suite we had there last time if you’re interested, you can find it here. It’s situated in Avenue Montaigne which is a great location for shopping! 

I have a question.. as I have a similar dress myself to the Alexander McQueen lace dress you just wore I was wondering what kind of bra you are wearing since I never know what to wear underneath. I hope this question is not too personal or anything, but I am really curious.

This is always a problem and I wish I had a super bra to recommend but I just go au naturel with that dress. The fabric is quite thick and as it’s black it works well. Depending on the size of yours there is always the option of using tape but I find it doesn’t give much support and it works really bad for clubbing…. let me tell you, when that piece of tape falls out on the floor it gives a flash back to that embarrassing feeling in school when your bag tipped over and the tampon rolled out in front of everyone… he he. This one might work though.

What are the measurements of your Chanel bag? And do you still have Lita shoes?

I’m not sure about the measurements, but it’s the jumbo size. I still have the Lita shoes, but I’ve left them in Monaco as I don’t wear them anymore. I wwas thinking of selling them so if you’re interested they will be up for sale once I’m back in Monaco.

I would love a Chanel brooch and pin it on other tweed jacket. Celina would you do that or does the tweed jacket have to be Chanel? I have been noticing the girl in atlantic pacific blog who pins her Chanel broaches on her Zara jackets and she looks absolutely classy! What do you think??

I know some people disagree with me, but I don’t think it matters what brand jacket you place a Chanel brooch on. Saying a Chanel jacket is the only kind you can pin it on sounds a little snobbish to me as not everyone can afford a Chanel jacket. I think Bee from Atlantic Pacific pulls it off beautifully on her Zara coats and I plan on wearing my vintage Chanel brooch with all kinds of brands of jackets too and I think you should too if you want to :)

I love all of your outfit posts but I really am missing your makeup posts, they are always so pretty and you make it so easy to follow along and recreate the look. I’ve read through all your older makeup posts and I’ve loved them! Please do one again soon? :)

Thank you, I’m happy to hear you enjoy them! Unfortunately they take up a lot of time, far more than it would seem, and now that I also do fashion it’s hard to find time. It’s been a long time since I did one so I will try to do one soon. A summery one maybe? Any requests in particular?

Hey everyone!

Yesterday I ran into a friend from Norway whom I haven’t seen in far too long so I after a couple glasses of rosé I managed to persuade her to stay in London over the weekend, woohoo, the greatest times come unexpectedly! Tonight we’re going out for dinner with some friends and then maybe we might even end up clubbing again if things end up like yesterday. My feet are killing me today and their not very happy about being squeezed into tiny little Louboutins again tonight. We’ll definitely bring every high heeled girl’s best friend, the foldable flatsies with us tonight :)

The last few month I’ve been a total VC addict, I’ve been refreshing the “new in” page several times a day and I’ve both sold and bought lots of amazing things. I just love that there is no need to worry about authenticity or if the item really is in the condition as described, they do all that stuff for you. This week I missed out on this little piece of fashion heaven as I wasn’t able to charge my macbook so after finally getting it back up and running I spent the entire last night (after updating you guys of course!) browsing through all the new goodies. I would love to be the owner of that gorgeous Chanel jacket, how amazing is that? It’s the sort of thing you’d have for the rest of your life too, I mean I can easily picture that on a 25 year old as well as a 40 year old and a 60 year old. Timeless perfection, just like the bags!

Now I need to drag myself off the computer and take the hoover for a spin :D Speaking of, if you want to get better at walking in heels I suggest doing some dusting (or serious washing) around the house in heels, it’s amazing how much more in control you get and you learn where your balance is.

Hi everyone!

Hope you’re off to a good start to the week? I’m having a great week so far and it feels great to see brighter and warmer days again! Spring transforms me into a carefree little chimpanzee :D Lots of things happend all at once this week including water leakage, fun times with friends, Linus biting my Macbook charger cable, oysters, champagne sorbet, caviar, hay day, sun, lottery winning, celebration and love and loss. Today I finally went to Apple land in Regent street to get a new charger so from today updates will be back to normal again :)

We took these photos right after my first trip to Scott’s which is now on my list of greatest restaurants in London. Seriously. Champagne sorbet. How ridiculous, right? James insisted I should try and after having indulged in oysters and caviar it was the only way to finish off. The dessert was so delicious! I’m terrible at explaining how something tastes, but it was a sweet lemony sorbet which they drenched in champagne which gave a perfectly bitter taste to even out the sweetness with a little fuzziness to make it more interesting. Yum! I will go back, and when I do I will take photos for you :)

I’m sorry it was quiet on the blog yesterday, but to make up for it I have lots of pictures today featuring my new super cool yellow Louis Vuitton bag I scored for next to nothing on Vestiaire Collective. Speaking of, we were having a little conversation about this store in the comment section of the last post, there seem to be some confusion wether or not Norway is included. Have you bought or sold anything there?

I’m not normally a fan of Louis Vuitton which is why I haven’t bought any of their bags, but I found the shape and colour of this bag so unusual and fun that I couldn’t resist. I went to Louis Vuitton and bought a little charm for it too :)
