I mentioned the other day an online second-hand shop I just absolutely adore and spend way too much time on. Refreshing “New Items” has become the first thing I do when I wake up and the last thing I do before I go to bed. Vestiaire Collective is as you might have guessed a French site, but in September they opened offices in London and went international. The site’s been mentioned in Vogue and all the other biggest magazines and news papers and you must check it out!!
The reason why it’s so popular and why you should use this site rather than Ebay is because all the items sold are sent via the Vestiaire Collective HQ where they thoroughly make sure it’s an authentic item. This means you don’t have to worry at all if something is authentic or not. If it’s not authentic they will cancel the order, and if it is authentic you will have it on the door the next day.
I made my first order the other day buying an Alexander McQueen clutch which was completely “unworn” with tags and all to less than half price – there are many unworn items of bargain prices!

Vurderer å selge et par ting selv denne våren, men her hjemme får man fint lite for slikt. Ingen vil betale halvparten av prisen for vesker f.eks. som ligger i sjiktet mellom 10-20.000 KR full pris. Isteden går man på Ebay og kjøper “billig” og mange ender vel opp med bomkjøp isteden. Jeg vurderer en ny vår i skapene mine, men det er vanskelig å velge bort ting man liker godt men nesten ikke har brukt.
Har vært i kontakt med danske Trendsales (finnes visstnok også en norsk versjon), men takk for at du skrev om Vestiaire. Det virker som de har et bedre og mer rendyrket nedslagsfelt.

I have sold two items, really easy as postage is included in the selling fee and dhl comes to your home to pick it up with envelops and everything. I have like ten items for sale now :D

Yes, of course you’ll have to pay a small fee for selling it – that’s how they make it work and the shipping is included so you won’t have to think about it :)

You have amazing style and I was wondering what you thought of the Chanel j12 watch? I was thinking of getting it in black (no diamonds) in the 33mm size. There is also a 29mm size but it has diamonds on the face so may consider that too.

forget this website, it’s totally unprofessional. I bought a bag and after waiting for a month they told me it was “not available” anymore. why was it offered on the VC site in the first place then if it was not available when I bought and paid for it?! I will never buy with them again. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON VC!
