As soon as we woke up this morning we started packing. Packing for a winter in London! It was such a refreshing way of starting the day, the month and the year. I’m such a restless soul so for me it’s liberating to be relocating. Although I must admit packing for such a long time is not the easiest thing! What on earth do you pack, you know? We will come to the flat in Monaco from time to time during the stay in London, so it’s not the end of the world if I were to forget something. Although I would obviously rather not forget anything….
The dressing room is just such a mess now..
One of the hardest things is to pack accessories. It weighs quite a lot so I have to pick only a few… so hard.
…and makeup. How do I pack 5 full drawers of makeup :O
I also had to pick a small selection of dresses, and I included this little pearly champagne number which I haven’t found the right occasion for yet. I’m hoping London 2013 will bring a great occasion for it :D found here.
I guess I will be packing and repacking all night! Tomorrow at 09 we’re off and the new year will start in London when we arrive late tomorrow night. I have no words for how excited I am. Musicals, operas, stand-up shows, events, shopping, concerts, pubs, unlimited restaurants, complete convenience and the whole of England to explore right from the heart of Mayfair!! :D
I hope all of you have equally much to look forward to in the new year whether it’s a new job, a new boyfriend (or girlfriend), a baby, a pet, a new set of goals, or travels :D I think 2013 will be a fantastic year!! :D

OMG! First of all, have a save trip!
Now I have so many ideas of blog posts that I would like to read! For instance, as you said, how to dess with a smaller closet matching clothes and dressing them up or not. And your makeup favorites! Pleaaase? :D

It must be terribly hard to lack for such a long trip. Even just forgetting something small that is of comfort to you. I hope you get everything. I hope London will be a wonderful experience with new and exciting things, Happy New Year, I can’t wait to hear all about it :-)

I “commute” between the city where I study, and my hometown, Oslo, quite a bit, so I’ve learned to bring the makeup essentials that I absolutely cannot live without when I go back and forth, but I also have one of nearly each and every item in each house, hehe. So, if I were you, I’d pack with me the make-up you know you need on a regular basis, or just plain can’t live without, and leave the rest in Monaco – which gives you a perfect opportunity to look for new makeup-favorites in London;)

It sounds incredible, and I’m so glad you’ve mentioned shows and operas :) Just proof that we still have great audiences :D The pearl dress is stunning–I hope you find the perfect occasion for it soon!
Aaah! It all sounds wonderful C! I can’t wait to read about your adventures in London. I just got married in November so my 2013 will be filled with lots of cooking lessons ;D I also want to learn gardening so I can grow my own herbs and my husband and I are planning a few small trips during the year, I’m excited for 2013 as well!!!

I am the worst packer! I understand how hard it is to decide what to bring..you never know what you will feel like wearing. lol I went to Chicago for 3 days and packed like I was moving. lol
This new year I am looking forward to my new job I am about to start. It is my dream job and I worked soooo hard for it. Im also getting married…I feel that 2013 will be amazing. I am also so excited for you to continue the blog and for your new view from London instead of Monaco! I know you will love it!

Change can be quite refreshing and hope 2013 is great for you too :) I don’t envy the packing dilemma though! My husband and I will be looking for a place for ourselves in feb and I’ll be going through the same ordeal. I love travelling just like you. Spent new years in Vancouver, Canada; off to Sydney, Australia in end of feb and then USA mid-year year. Hi5 for an awesome year :D
