I´m still working intensively behind the scenes with the new fresh content for the blog but when I came over these exclusive preview pictures of the new makeup line from Sigma Beauty I just lost complete focus on what I was doing and just had to share it with you my fellow makeup junkies!! I don´t know about you but I´m very excited about the new makeup line from Sigma!!! As you know I´m a big fan of the brushes from Sigma much because of the high quality with affordable prices and I hope that the makeup line will be of good quality as well!! The previous makeup line was taken off the market short time after they were launched. It wasn´t anything specifically bad about the makeup, the problem was rather the fact that it lacked something special. A few years has gone by and Sigma as a company has grown a lot since last time so hopefully they´ve spent time on developing high quality makeup this time around. The pictures looks promising.
Facts:
The palette will retail for $35 (USD) which is a nice deal because the retail value of the duo brush alone is $18 and I am completely in love with the duo brushes!! Finally a makeup brand that gets how important brushes are and actually give one away for free with the palette. Love it! I think this will make it so much easier to apply makeup correctly for all the girls out there that struggle with getting the result they want! I used to think that it was a waste of money to spend money on brushes untill I actually experienced it for my self and my first professional brush was from Sigma. Suddenly all the pieces came together and I understood the secret techniques behind getting a perfect makeup result.
If you haven´t tried to apply makeup with a professional brush before I recommend getting a brush to actually experience the difference for yourself. The one you should buy is the blending brush E25 which can be used to apply both powder and cream shadows as well as blending out harsh edges and it simply cost you $9 US. Bargain!!
My initial thought was that the packaging reminds me a lot of the much raved about Naked palette from Urban Decay and some of the colours look very similar to some of the shadows from Urban Decay (hm..). The line hasn´t been launced yet but I´ve heard rumours about launching date in may ;) At the first glance it is the last palette, Bare, that catches my eye.
Which one is your favorite and what do you think about Sigma launching a new makeup line that is very similar to the Naked palette from Urban Decay?
