Hey everyone <3

Hope you’re having a great day? Today I finally got to check out the sale at Harvey Nichs which I keep hearing so much about. I think I came just a little too late as it seemed most goodies were gone. Next year I will be the first in line ;) I ended up with a couple of plain t-shirts from Vince and a black blouse by Alice + Olivia, the kind of stuff that is always good to have anyway. I did find a beautiful Burberry coat which wasn’t on sale though. Unfortunately they didn’t have my size but I gave my contact details so hopefully they will give a ring soon!! :D

I haven’t got to tell you what we did yesterday!!! We went to Piccadilly Circus and had a wonder around. We then went for some dinner at Spice Market which was very average to be honest. Fortunately we didn’t go to Piccadilly for the restaurant, we went to Piccadilly to go and see a comedy show and it was hilarious! My cheeks are still sore and I’m sure my mouth has widened even more :D

Tonight we’re going to see The Hobbit in one of those luxury cinemas where you order food and drinks while lying in reclining big leather arm chairs… That’s something I’ve missed in Monaco!! Oh, I love London so much!! SO much :D

Anyone seen the movie?? :)

Some might dislike me for writing this post, but it is actually with good intentions and I think the majority of my readers are adults who are able to think for themselves. If you’re under 18, stop reading :)

fitness 672x336 Workout post: A must have gadget

When I started running last year I looked for a way to measure my progress and I came upon a great scale that I’ve really loved and that has taught me to not be bothered with my weight! After all I didn’t start running to lose weight, but it was part of my workout to get more fit. As scales are supposed to the scale shows weight, but more interestingly it also shows fat percentage and sends the data through wifi to your phone/computer/ipad. The scale allows you to track trends in your body composition changes over time—graphs and all—and you don’t even have to lift a finger to enter that data. Brilliant, right?

feat withings intro Workout post: A must have gadget

Obviously writing about a scale is very bad for a blogger, but this is when I will explain my good intentions. I think many girls are so obsessed with their weight and especially the number, but the number has very little to do with how your body looks like. It’s how much muscles and how healthy you are that actually matters.

wokrout Workout post: A must have gadget

If you just started working out as a new years resolution (well done you!) you might find you’re putting on weight. But don’t let that put you off lifting weights, it’s probably just muscles as muscles weigh more than fat. Although the fat percentage measurement might not be the best on the scale (I really don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised if the little devices used on your tummy shows more accurate numbers), that really doesn’t matter as it’s not the number that should be important to you. As long as you see the number decrease, and your weight increase you know you are doing something right! My point is, forget about your weight (and BMI for that matter) and focus on getting more muscles on your body and feeling healthy instead :)

blog LessFat Workout post: A must have gadget

Of course I would have to include that no one should get obsessed about the percentage, we all have different body types and different bone structures and going overboards is never a good idea. This post is meant for adults who are just looking to measure their progress while working out :)

As far as I know there are two wifi scales on the market. One is Withings and have been around for years, and the other is Aria which is farely new. I checked up on reviews and it seems the Withings scale is better so that’s the one I bought last year for Monaco and the one I just purchased again to have in our new home gym in London. Both can be connected to gadgets like fitbit that counts steps and that sort of thing. I bought the first scale on Amazon, and the second scale in Apple Store :)

Hi everyone,

Yesterday we went for Thai food in Soho and then to Ronnie Scotts Jazz club to see the concierge preform, and he was really good!! Today the interior designers and a couple of carpenters are running around. I reckon I’ll be able to hang up some clothes in the dressing room today, but due to one unit breaking yesterday it won’t be finished until we get another unit in. Hopefully it will all be up next week! So far it’s looking really great, and I’m incredibly excited about the room!

wait2 Interior designer

By the end of the week the interior designers will come back with suggestions to room layouts and then we can start the best part – looking through catalogues and choosing pieces of furniture!! I’ve already found a few items I would like, and I’m confident I’ll find lots of beautiful furniture in their catalogues as well! Having interior designers help out makes such a difference, I can’t believe we didn’t do that in Monaco! They basically come to measure all the rooms and then you tell them what kind of style you like. They then present you with a range of different options in your style and in a size that fits your home which you can choose from. You can let them choose everything entirely if you want, but I like to have a say in what furniture I@ll have in my home so I want to choose the furniture myself :)

wait Interior designer

In the end of the week we’re hoping to start the process of the home gym too. I still haven’t had one single workout this year and I really miss it so much! I might head out for a run later today actually, green park or hyde park are both lovely!

Hope you’re having a great day!! xx

outfit 7 Outfit of the day

Hey sweets,

Can you believe we’re a week into the new year already? Time is running so fast!! Today I’ve had a carpenter at home helping me setting up the dressing room. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so unhelpful in my entire life. While he was lifting, knocking, screwing and assembling I was teetering across the floor trying to support where I could at the same time as Linus did his best at stealing all the little bits. The dressing room is now half way up so tomorrow morning he’s coming back to finish off, and right after that the interior designer comes so we can start planning on what to do with the rest of the flat. It’s all very exciting!! :)

Now I have a very impatient boyfriend standing by my side waiting for me to finish tapping away on the computer. We’re going to see the concierge sing tonight. He’s been on some tv talent shows and tonight he is singing at a jazz club. But first dinner, ergo the impatient boyfriend ;)

Hope you’re having a very lovely Tuesday!! xx

I stumbled upon Blair’s blog last year, and my first impression was that she must spend a massive amount of money on her wardrobe. After a while I noticed many of her clothes are actually from Zara, Asos and Topshop and many of the most expensive looking outfits were in fact some of the most affordable ones.

One of her little tricks is a Chanel brooch. It’s only a small little detail, but it transforms the whole outfit and subconsciously we perceive her whole outfit as much more expensive looking than it might have done had she not worn it.

chanel brooch Chanel details

Ebay have hundreds if not thousands of Chanel brooches for sale, but be wary of fake copies!! Your best bet to find an authentic one is probably at the online retailers that offers a range of vintage items like at Shopbop, Asos, and My-Wardrobe. You may also find one at a trusted online vintage shop like Vintage Heirloom or Vestiaire Collective.

A brooch like this is definitely on my “got to have – list”, how about you? xx

Hi lovelies!

The wardrobe will be arriving today which means I have to be home waiting. I really don’t mind as that means I will finally have some time in front of the computer. Quite cozy actually with Linus by my side.

And finally I have time to check out the sales that are on – have you seen them? My favourites so far are Net-a-porterMytheresaAsos and Feelunique! ♥

I also get to answer the second part of the question session which will be all the personal questions :)

__________________________

Here we go…

What do you eat for breakfast and what is your favourite snack?

I normally eat a bowl of fruit or eggs. My favourite snack is Nakd bars, the cocoa orange being my favourite and I always keep at least one in my bag! Yummy!

Are you going to build another amazing walk-in closet?

We won’t be putting down just as much money into building this dressing room as the one in Monaco, but we will build one :) I wrote a post about the starting process here.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

My mum has always told me to focus on what I’m happy about rather than dwell over what could’ve been different aesthetically as that doesn’t do any good anyway, so because she reads the blog I would have to say my feet because they are annoyingly wide and therefor make it hard to wear certain types of beautiful shoes.

You are so beautiful ! What camera do you use and who takes the pictures? I love them!

Thank you so much, *blush*. I use a Canon 7D and when it’s not my boyfriend or friends taking the photos I use a tripod :)

I don’t remember if you said it before, but I would be curious to know how did you came up with the name Linus for your dog?

Until I was about 13 everyone called me Lina (some didn’t even know my name was Celina) except for my father who called me Linus as that is the Swedish male equivalence of the name Lina. When I told James about this he thought it would make a cool name for the dog, and while searching for a dog we just starting calling him Linus so we never really discussed a name, it was always Linus :)

Where in Norway are you from?

I am actually originally from Stenungsund in Sweden, but when we moved to Norway when I was little we moved to my mums home town, Sandefjord, which is about two hours south of Oslo.

What line did you take at “videregående”? What was your favourite subject? Did you work when you were at school?

I went “allmenne, økonomiske og administrative fag”, my favourite subject was marketing. I had three jobs when I went to school. I worked in a hotel, a restaurant and a club – busy bee :)

What kind of flowers do you like?

James… is this you? ;)

I love orchids, lilies, roses, peonies and hydrangeas. Mainly white and dusty light pink ones :) They look like this:

How long are you planning to stay in London?

We are planning on spending the winters in London and the summers in Monaco, so we’ll head back to Monaco in April/May sometime and stay until September/October :)

Do you still have plans to travel to new york?

Absolutely! The only reason to why we ended up not going this time was because we got the dream flat in London much quicker than we anticipated. As soon as everything is sorted out with the flat we will head off to New York. I can’t wait!

Has James learnt any Norwegian? :D

Haha, yes he has learnt some, and he is incredibly cute when he speaks, although Linus probably knows more than him :D Unsurprisingly he’s having some difficulties pronouncing the ‘r’ but it’s a tough one. It’s the same ‘r’ as of Spanish/Italian. Any Norwegians out there that would care to help with explaining how to make the sound? :D

How many different countries have you ever lived in and how many languages do you speak?

I have lived in Sweden, Norway, France and Monaco, and I speak Swedish, Norwegian and English, and very basic German, Spanish and French :) I had both German and Spanish classes in school in addition to English.

What can make you happy when you are feeling down?

It depends on the reason but calling my mum is a safe bet to feel better, and obviously talk to James or friends. I also like to run, read, eat cake, or watch a movie…. or if I’m really down I like to wrap myself in the duvet and snuggle up in front of the tv and eat ice cream straight out of the box and stay there until the sugar kicks in :)

stone3 copy Answers part II Personal questions

In a post a long time ago you said something about studies?

I did an online course which I have finished :)

What is your favorite movie of all times?

The Notebook, I cry a river every time! :D

How do you manage with Linus when he flies with you?

Because Linus is only 2 kg I can bring him into the cabin with me, and in 5 out of 6 flights I’ve managed to have him either in my lap or in the seat next to me even though his bag is supposed to be completely closed during the whole flight. He charms most people into getting his way ;) Linus is a really great dog to fly with, he just sleeps the whole way. Flying to and from the UK is worse though as dogs are only allowed in cargo which is why we’ve been driving Monaco/London. As I said, he knows how to get his way.

Can you show us photos of your apartment in London when you have finished decorating?

Of course :)

What are your pet peevees?

I’m a fast walking pedestrian (I would make an excellent race walker) and when people are taking up the whole side walk to stroll slower than most grandmothers it really ticks my nerves..

If you were to go sailing for six months, where would you go, and who would you bring with you?

Fun question! I have already done that, although for 12 months, but I was very little so I don’t remember as much as I would’ve liked to. I guess it depends on the size of the boat, but a sailing team on board would calm my nerves and James obviously, and if the boat was big enough I would’ve loved other couples of friends to come with us :) Sailing across the atlantic could be rough, but sailing around in the Caribbean would be lovely.

Do you at times find it hard to speak your native tongue, assuming that you speak English most of the time?

Yes, It’s really embarrassing but at times when I haven’t spoken Norwegian for some time I just can’t seem to find the words and as I speak I know I sometimes formulate the sentence completely wrong, but it normally helps after a few hours. I try my best not to throw in english words as I think it sounds ridiculous.

Which country would you like traveling to?

India! Truth be told there are many many countries I would love to travel to, but India is next on my have to see list. I think it’s culturally exciting, culinary delicious, wonderful people and so much to discover with both sandy beaches and big cities.

Amazing Taj mahal Pictures2 Answers part II Personal questions

Have you ever been dieting?

Yes, I have but it’s not for me.. I think I lasted for a week hehe. Being healthy and making healthy choices in life is the right way for me :)

How many calories do you eat a day?

I honestly have no idea, I think it fluctates from day to day.

I could see you being a fashion designer – would you ever consider doing so or have you ever wanted to do that?

Wow, thank you! Yes, that was a big dream when I was younger, and big dreams never really fade, do they? I still think a job in a candy shop would be awesome ;)

If you could live anywhere else in the world besides London or Monaco or your home country, where would you choose?

New york! Although I haven’t lived in London for very long I’m already completely in love and I guess the closest to London would be New York as both cities have a lot in common, especially how convenient everything is!

Do you have friends in London? If you don’t have friends in London, how do you make them?

I’m planning on throwing myself at strangers on the street. Nah, just kidding. Ehm, I don’t know is the honest answer. I have met some of James’ friends and girlfriends of his buddies, but I haven’t had the chance to meet anyone myself yet as I’ve only been here for less than a week. I will do some classes of different kinds and I’m hoping I’ll get to know people while doing so.

Simple question: how do YOU pronounce your name? Phoenitically like “suh-leena” or “say-leena” or something else entirely?

I pronounce it “ceh-leena” :)

That’s all. Hope you enjoyed the answers to the personal questions. Now the wardrobe has arrived as well which the guys will come and set up tomorrow so I’m heading out to do some shopping as we still have no food in the fridge! Hope you’re having a great day! xx

dressing plans Dressing room in the making

Today I spent half the day “designing” the dressing room. I decided to go for the Ikea pax system, only we’ll make a few changes to make it fit the room perfectly :) The drawing above is of all the units more or less how they will be dressed, but they won’t be lined up like in the picture above. I thought I’d include the drawing with a description of what I’m planning on keeping where as I know some of you have been wondering about the process of choosing the amount of shelves and rails according to clothes. We already have a good amount of wardrobe space so this entire thing will be filled with my stuff while James will be using the fitted wardrobes which has great shoe shelves and everything already – win win for both :D

The wardrobe units will be delivered tomorrow, and then James’ guys will come and build it plus another shelf unit on Tuesday. That means I’ll have a full dressing room before I’ve done the first food shop hahaha…

accessories Dressing room in the making

As for the rest of the room I would love to have an antique mirrored chest of drawers for the middle of the room to keep accessories and things in. On top I’ll probable keep my most worn jewellery, coffee books, flowers, candles and such. I also want to squeeze in a plant in one of the corners to get a sense of freshness to the room, but seeing as we’ll be travelling quite a bit it will have to be artificial. A massive artificial orchid is another item on my list which I’m planning on placing on top of a mirrored pedestal against a small wall. I’ve found Sia to have quite good quality artificial plants and flowers, anyone know of other brands that does high quality artificial plants and flowers?

Wednesday the interior designers behind the gorgeous Holland Park house will pay us a visit so I’ll have the opportunity to check out their catalogs and get some ideas for our flat. It’s going to be so incredibly exciting!! :D

I’m terribly sorry I haven’t had the chance to answer the rest of the questions from the question session, Ikea has a knack with stealing more of our time than we plan on, don’t they? I will do my best at having it up tomorrow.

I hope you’re having an amazing Sunday, sweets!! xx

Many of you asked where my coat I wore in last post (and on instagram, follow me here) is from. It’s by Karen Millen, but it’s a few years old and out of stock. Military coats are always fashionable and return has a “trend” every year so it’s a safe buy, and now that the sales are on you can be lucky and find one you can have for years to come.

Although my coat is no where to be found anymore, I did find a couple of other really beautiful coats online, and some are even on sale :D

Last night we taped up what’s going to be the dressing room to see how to organise the wardrobe, and today we’re off to Ikea! We’ve decided to go for the PAX wardrobe system and I think it will turn out really great! Check out my pinterest to see some inspiration for affordable walk ins and dressing rooms.

Have a great Sunday morning, sweetest readers ♥ xx

Hi everyone,

Yesterday we went to Holland Park to see a a property that one of James’ companies are developing. It’s still not released on the market and they were still working on the finishing touches while I was there. Such amazing inspiration!! I didn’t bring my camera so the pictures are taken with my phone, sorry about that.

There were also an aquarium wall by the entrance which was amazingly beautiful, and next to the living room there was a home cinema which was where all the workers somehow seemed to find a reason to work in so I didn’t get to take a photo of that room. There were also a couple more bedrooms with on suite bathrooms and a balcony but this should be enough to give you a feel of the flat. Amazing isn’t it??

Now we’re off hunting for similar furniture for our flat, weeeee :D Hope youre having an inspirational Saturday! xx

Happy Saturday morning!! :D

Hope’re having a great morning! I’m having a really nice morning after having spent the first night in the flat. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so at home so quickly before as I do in this flat, and we still don’t have any furniture yet. I just know it will be absolutely amazing when it’s fully decorated and I can~t wait to get started!! :D

This is the first part of the questions from the question session I held yesterday, and I have gathered all the beauty and fashion related questions in this post. Here we go…

Just wondering if you hair is naturally that colour or if you dye it? With your Norwegian roots i’m sure your a blonde anyway but Its such a beautiful colour!

Thank you so much! I used to have a few highlights done but stopped about two years ago. My own colour has natural highlights but obviously the overall colour is a bit darker now than what I had when I did highlights. It’s also lighter in summer than during winter.

IMG 0540 Answers part I Beauty and Fashion related

Your hair always looks great, do you have any tips to keep it in such good condition ?

Thank you so much!! My hair has improved drastically since I stopped highlighting it, so I advice everyone that chemically treats their hair to stop and instead embrace their natural colour. Someone once said that the colour you were born with is most likely the colour that suits you the best since you were born with it.

I’m also a massiv hair freak so I try to follow all the guide lines as much as possible. I rarely brush my hair while it’s wet, only blow dry when absolutely needed and rarely use heat stylers. If I do use a heat styler I swear to a hot air brush (review here) as that is less damaging than a hair straightener or curler. They also say that washing your hair less frequently is better so I try to wash my hair every three days, but I sometimes fail. I also use a great deal of hair treatments as I just love the way they make my hair look and feel, and I’m growing my hair out so I need to keep those ends healthy :D

What kind of hair masques do you use? Your hair always look so so shiny and nice :)

Thank you! In addition to the already much raved about scalp treatment from John Masters Organics (read here), I love:

I would like to know which are your secrets for perfect filed, strong nails! :) Mine always brakes in the tips and it’s frustrating… And do you recommend getting the gel ones?

I’m the worst person in the world to ask for nail advice as I rarely have long nails. I don’t know why but I find that they hold better when using nail polish, and b-vitamins also helps a lot! As for gel nails I used to have them but I stopped as I got tired of having to go to the nail salon every 3 weeks and I prefer having natural nails.

According to you – what mascara do you find is the best mascara?

For everyday use I love the Lancome precious cells mascara, and I like to use it in brown. I particularly like the brush as it’s easy to get to the roots of the lashes as well as the shorter lashes, and of course I appreciate it making my lashes healthier and stronger. For evenings I like something with a bit more volume like the YSL faux cils, or the new Lancome Hypnose Star.

I would like to know what do you use to paint your eyebrows.

I don’t actually paint or draw on my eyebrows as I think it looks unnatural so I fill them in with a mix of two eyeshadows instead. Both by by Mac; Omega and Coquette.

IMG 9749 Answers part I Beauty and Fashion related

Name your most favorite and most necessary cosmetic items that you take everywhere with you.

Oh this is so hard!! In my travel kit I keep Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, Mac concealer (the one in a pot, don’t remember the name), Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Deauville, Guerlain 4 seasons bronzer in Brunettes, Sigma and Mac brushes, Nars and Mac blushes, Mac eyeshadows for my brows and Lancome hypnose precious cells mascara in brown. I also recently added the YSL Touche eclat foundation (I use B30) which I’m thrilled about!

What’s your favourite foundation?

Light foundation: Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser – it has great coverage like a light weight foundation so I had to add it.
Medium coverage: YSL Touch Eclat – it’s basically your skin only better.
Full coverage: Nars Sheer Glow – It covers amazingly, almost like a concealer, only it doesn’t feel or look heavy on the skin.

How often do you go to the hairdresser?

Maybe twice a year? Probably not often enough, but I hate it.

How much make-up do you normally wear on a normal day?

Around the house I don’t always bother slapping it on, but when running errands and out for coffees and such I use a tinted moisturiser, concealer, blush, mascara and fill in my eyebrows. Sometimes I use a bit of eyeliner and bronzer as well.

What is your favorite fragrance?

I really love Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf :)

If your dressing room was on fire, what five things would you rescue? I played this game recently and it really helped me strip down my overflowing wardrobe…

Oh my.. I would say birkin, jewellery case, vintage bags and favourite dresses.. but I’m quite good at stripping down my wardrobe. I normally fill two huge bags with clothes and shoes twice a year which I bring to the church.

How many Celine bags do you own? I am literally in love with these bags, so I am kind of living my fantasy through your handbag wardrobe!

I have two, the Celine boston luggage tote in a beige suede/leather and the Celine phantom luggage tote in black crocodile embossed leather :D I think Celine makes some of the most beautiful bags!!

If you had to pick one or two areas in your wardrobe to splurge on – or focus on highest quality – what would that be?

I would say shoes and bags as that is items that can be worn more frequently so you get good value for your money :)

What are your favourite brands?

I like to get affordable clothes from Asos and Zara, and of more expensive brands I really like Givenchy, Celine, Hermes, Isabel Marant etc. It depends on the item really :)

Which colors do you like the most to wear? (Clothing)

Not counting black, white and neutral colours I would have to say green!

What celebrities do you admire most for their style (past or present)?

I like the style of Olivia Palermo, Miroslava Duma, Cara and Poppy Delevigne, Miranda Kerr, and Carine Roitfeld.

inspiration Answers part I Beauty and Fashion related

Do you have tips and tricks on how to care for expensive clothing/bags/shoes?

I normally fill a shoe bag or the dust bag the bag came in with tissue paper and stuff the bag with it to keep the shape of the bag. I also use alcohol free and perfume free baby wipes to wipe off dirt of delicate leather bags and shoes, a great tip I learnt from watching Martha Stewart :D

What size is your Ballon Bleu! Im sure you have posted that before, but every time I see it on you I am dying to ask!

It’s the bigger of the two female sizes, but not the biggest aka the male size, so I guess it’s the medium :)

I am on the market for a new pair of running shoes, I know you became a runner this year so what kinds of shoes do you like? Im looking for lightweight and cushiony (running on hard ground) and also cute!! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I just purchased my second pair of Nike shoes the other month as I love having the chip inside the shoe which lets me track my runs. I think they’re both llightweight and cushiony and they offer great support. I think you can customise your own pair as you like it online which I’m sure could end up pretty cute, but I haven’t tried it myself yet.

That was all the beauty and fashion related questions, hope you enjoyed reading my answers! I will post the second part tomorrow, but first I’ll show you the pictures from Holland Park later today!! Weeee, I feel so inspired and I now know exactly how I want to decorate our flat!!

Hope you’re having a really great weekend, chat later xx
