As soon as we woke up this morning we started packing. Packing for a winter in London! It was such a refreshing way of starting the day, the month and the year. I’m such a restless soul so for me it’s liberating to be relocating. Although I must admit packing for such a long time is not the easiest thing! What on earth do you pack, you know? We will come to the flat in Monaco from time to time during the stay in London, so it’s not the end of the world if I were to forget something. Although I would obviously rather not forget anything….
The dressing room is just such a mess now..
One of the hardest things is to pack accessories. It weighs quite a lot so I have to pick only a few… so hard.
…and makeup. How do I pack 5 full drawers of makeup :O
I also had to pick a small selection of dresses, and I included this little pearly champagne number which I haven’t found the right occasion for yet. I’m hoping London 2013 will bring a great occasion for it :D found here.
I guess I will be packing and repacking all night! Tomorrow at 09 we’re off and the new year will start in London when we arrive late tomorrow night. I have no words for how excited I am. Musicals, operas, stand-up shows, events, shopping, concerts, pubs, unlimited restaurants, complete convenience and the whole of England to explore right from the heart of Mayfair!! :D
I hope all of you have equally much to look forward to in the new year whether it’s a new job, a new boyfriend (or girlfriend), a baby, a pet, a new set of goals, or travels :D I think 2013 will be a fantastic year!! :D
I will try to update you some time from the road tomorrow! C xx
HAPPY NEW YEAR MY LOVELY READERS!!!! ♥
I hope you had an amazing end to the past year and beginning of the new year!! I’m so happy to have such beautiful, smart and lovely readers – thank you so much for reading my blog, it means so much to me! *group hug* :D
Despite many new dresses I ended up wearing an old favourite yesterday as it’s the most festive and fun dress in my closet. An evening can simply not go wrong when wearing such a fun dress, and I can’t think of a better evening to wear it than New Years Eve!! Sparkles, beads, colour, gold, silver, geometrical shapes…. Love it! :)
The dress was found here, but I’m not sure of it’s available anymore.
Because the dress has so much going on I prefer wearing it without too much accessories, and so decorating the nails with a little twist adds just enough details for me. My nails were smothered in gold glitter with tiny sparkles of pink, with a red marble ring finger nail to pick up the colours in the dress. I also picked up the glitter in the nails with a little bit of glitter above my lash line and by the tear duct. It’s NYE, right? ;)
I wore the dress with a pair of spiked red Louboutins and messy hair as hair flipping won’t ruin the hair style when it’s already messy anyway :D
Silly poses :D
We left Linus at home inside the dressing room with all shutters down and when we came home he was sleeping.. that makes a baby dog’s mother’s heart warm ♥
I didn’t bring a camera with me, but I did bring my phone and did a fairly good job with taking photos during the dinner until the champagne hit my head. I uploaded some to my instagram, but I know not all of you have instagram so would you like me to do a post of it? :)
Lots of love!!! C xx
Hi fabulous ♥
Eeeeek, the time is running so fast and I just can’t keep up!! I have still not made up my mind about tonights dress :O I’ve managed to narrow it down to 7 dresses……..
I have a mix of a couple of new dresses, a couple of fairly new dresses and a couple of old favourites in front of me… Decisions, decisions..
I always bring out accessories to the mix as well as I feel that helps in making a decision.
Have you figured out what to wear for the night? Are you as excited as I am?? :D

I have still not decided myself on what makeup look I will go for, but I’m guessing it will be some form of a smokey eye with fake eyelashes :D Weeeee, I love New Years!!
I hope you’ve found some inspiration and that you have a magical New Years Eve!! I will post about my outfit for the evening later ;) xx
Today James, Linus and I went for a stroll around Monaco port and seeing all the boats I’m starting to really miss ours. Can’t wait until it’s back in the water at the beginning of April! We’re taking in the magical atmosphere of the beautiful Monaco before we head off to busy, action packed and exciting London!!! We’re leaving in just a very few days and I haven’t even started packing! After not having seen James for a while over Christmas packing has just not been on my mind as it’s been so nice to spend some time with him again. Although writing this does make my heart speed, I really need to start packing as I don’t know when I’ll have the chance to come back next. Anyway, here are a few photos from today :)
Leather jacket Zara (similar here which is also in real leather)// T-shirt – here // Trousers – similar here // Boots – Chloé (similar here) // Bag – Chanel
I’m thinking of sending this little beauty in for a spa treatment at Chanel, does anyone have any experience of that? I’ve heard that they can completely reinvigorate any Chanel hand bag so it looks like it just came out the box – they even change the chains if needed! It does look really good in this photo actually, but it has a few marks around the corners which I feel I ought to treat before it gets worse. Leather bags are like leather shoes, the more you look after them the longer they’ll last :)
Lunch at Le Virage, I would normally go for the Salmon Tartare but they have a different menu on Sundays….
I hope you’re having a lovely Sunday today and that you’ve found a dress for New Years Eve! I’m such an indecisive being that I will probably not decide until 2 minutes before I walk out the door… but first I need to wrap my head around what to pack for London. Asap.
Hahaha, I just had to share these. It’s like he’s trying to keep a straight face but can’t help but crack up, and then he’s back at keeping it straight again. What a strange little dog he is ♥
As I was browsing through pins I came across a photo of an updo with a hair bow and I loved it!! I thought I would do a tutorial on the actual bow, and then include some photos of hair styles including a bow just give an idea of how the bow can be worn :)
- Take a small section of hair from the crown of your head. The bigger the section, the bigger the bow.
- Tie the section with an elastic to create a half ponytail, and avoid pulling the ends through the elastic band the last time you wrap it.
- Split the loop in half to create two smaller loops.
- Insert bobby pins on both the bottom and top of each of the loops.
- Pick up the remaining ends of the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic to hide it. Secure it with bobby pins underneath.
I think a bow makes a fun twist to hair styles of both loose and tied up styles, and gathered some inspiration to how a bow can be worn :)
I LOVE the bow as part of an up-do as in the upper right photo, what a great hair style for New Years Eve!! What do you think? :)
The sales has begun in both stores and online. I prefer shopping online as it’s a much more civilised and calm as opposed to rushing around in streets packed with thousands of bargain hunting people. I’ve gathered a few of my favourites I’m craving the most, and many of these are even less than £20!!!
