Watch out TheOutnet (where you can find a vast selection of discounted Herve Leger dresses right now btw), there is another temptress with discounted designer goods! As I was scouring the web for a replacement bag for the Givenchy Antigona bag that never arrived (will tell you more about that below), I found a members only website who is far better than any other I’ve ever encountered. We’re talking Hermes, Chanel, YSL, Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga, Prada, Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta to name a few. This site is all about transporting you into a world of pleasant surprises – a place where discounted luxury is not an oxymoron.

Favourites right now:

REE Designer bags for less

Check it out HERE!

It’s now over three weeks since I ordered the Givenchy Antigona green croc bag from MyTheresa, and after having sent far too many unanswered emails and phonecalls to customer care, I saw no other choice than contacting them through the marketing department. Unfortunately that was what was needed to be done to get an explanation and compensation. Obviously I’m happy to have it resolved and to get a €200 compensation, but would I have received that if I hadn’t mentioned I’m a blogger? I mentioned my issue in the comment section and some of you stated you had luck with the customer care in the past, so I’m hoping this was a terrible mistake on their behalf. However, I would love to hear about your experiences with MyTheresa as I wouldn’t want to refer anyone to their site if my experience shows to be common.

This week my beautiful pregnant sister came to stay with me for a week, and it was really lovely to spend some time with her after not having seen her for a while. We did the whole sightseeing thing, went to the beach, went to my favourite restaurants, watched movies, played with the puppy, ordered in food and indulged in a vast amount of snacks while chatting about everything and nothing ♥

Here we are in the garden of Hotel de Paris:

I have received so many wonderful comments and emails from you readers during these days, and I feel so lucky to have so many fantastic readers!! I must admit I was really close to shutting down the blog last week, but I would miss you guys too much. I will however be slightly less personal and focus more on fashion and makeup as it seems some people like to make assumptions when they don’t know the whole story, and I’m tired of having to explain myself time after time. I hope you understand and that you will still enjoy the blog, and share your thoughts just as before :)

Hope you’re having a great day! xx

I pride myself in always trying to find the positive in things and this time it’s not very hard to find the positivity it something that started out seeming very negative. I can’t believe all the amazing comments I’ve got from you today. I’ve had tears in my eyes several times, I feel like the luckiest girl to have so many people all around the world being there for me and appreciating the work I put into the blog. Whilst I do keep some parts of my life to myself I still feel the blog is a very personal thing and sharing it with you is a big deal for me. I really feel we share something, whoever and wherever we are.

Words fall a bit short, so….

 Thank you

When did people’s outlook become so negative that if your boyfriend is successful you’re automatically labelled a gold digger? When writing about fashion, in order to preserve some anonymity and to keep parts of your personal life personal, means that you’re not down to earth or that you have no goals or ambition? When did we start to presume that people have no money of their own simply because they are female, or because it’s not spoken about?

Fortunately this thought-process seems only to apply to a very small minority of you readers, but it still scares me. I’ve been trying to find the right words to respond to recent comments without seeming patronising, but it’s really hard. I mean you clearly aren’t completely brain dead since you are capable of mastering a computer, which means that we are faced with obstinate stupidity. How do we reason with stupidity? As the famous urban quote states, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

Because a part of me feels sorry for you I will try to explain certain facts to you in the hope that it may help you in your day to day lives. Please understand, not everything is always pure black and white. When an overwhelming majority holds a different opinion to you this should serve as an indicator that you might want to begin by checking your facts and assumptions. Try to think outside your own narrow perspective and not to take things purely on face value.

A political blogger might be a hell of a chef and you won’t have a clue if he/she doesn’t write about food.

When I moved to Monaco I had to give up my job in Norway, and because I’m used to working and using my brain I was literally going insane through lack of stimulus. I could have wandered the streets everyday shopping but that wouldn’t have made me very happy. Blogging became my solution. I might not be the biggest blogger but let me tell you that brands like the idea of being associated with luxury which Monaco epitomises. Yes, I could’ve taken a job as a cleaner (nothing shameful in that btw), but if I can write about fashion and makeup and other fun things and make money off that then obviously I’d rather do that – who wouldn’t?

Negative petty people who don’t have anything nice to say are more than welcome, indeed are positively encouraged, to read other blogs, I honestly don’t care what you think about me, my blog or what I write. If you want to read about careers and politics then clearly this isn’t the blog for you. Not because these things aren’t important to me, but because I’ve chosen to only write about easy going subjects like shopping and beauty.

I really enjoy writing my blog and I have gotten to know so many strong, beautiful and smart ladies through the blog who make it all worth while. I truly feel so sorry for having spent time writing this post as a result of the actions of a very small group of negative people. I get excited on your guys behalf when something goes your way in life as if you were my friends because I view you like my friends. I feel like this is a happy careless place where we can share thoughts about superficial things that make us happy – whether it is to get a break from the daily stresses of life or to get inspiration.

I am so happy right now that I have trouble sitting still to write you this. A big brown box from theOutnet came on the door today, and I would’ve loved to be a fly on the door when I unwrapped the box…

IMG 3593 OMG!!!

They are even more gorgeous in real life!!

Fighting my way through the silk paper while not knowing what’s inside brought back the exact same thrill and excitement I had when I as a child got to open that one present before the rest of the presents a few days before Christmas. The gift that came as a complete surprise, making me even feel a bit naughty for opening a present before I was supposed to.

As you know the boots where sold out and I didn’t get to buy them, but James apparently did. Can you believe it?? And it’s not even Christmas. I know I have said it before, but I must have the best and most thoughtful boyfriend in the world!! :O How romantic and sweet is that!! When he saw my post he thought I ought to have them since I wanted them and decided to surprise me while he’s away in London. Aaaaww, my heart melts.. Thank you, love of my life ♥

Ps. Thank you so much, my sweetest readers, for the support you showed me in the comment section of the previous post. YOU are the reason why I blog ♥ Unfortunately some people write just to start a fight, and it’s always the same trolls so I’ve learned to just ignore them. However, my inicial thought when reading comments like those are still fear of it being the common belief and impression the majority of you readers have of me, so to read your comments and see you know me makes it so much easier to just ignore the troll comments :)

Ps2. Sorry for the quality of the photos, I tried to edit them as much as I could to make them look ok. They called from the camera repair shop today, and I’ll have my Canon back in 3 weeks.

First of, thank you so much for your advice on last post! As I read through your comments, I realized.. I need them. Quilted boots with beautiful heels. Was that really something I had to think about? Of course I should get them. I clicked my way into the Outnet, ignored all the new beautiful and heavily discounted things from Marni (did you see it?), my heart beating faster and faster….there they were.

SOLD OUT.

How on earth could I let this happen, again?

“Fear not little greedy shoe craving heart”, said the devil. Net-a-Porter has candy…

We all know its not fun until its over

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spike Red – here (only a few left)

I promise the shoe talk is over now. At least for a little while ;)

I noticed quite a few of you are missing posts with styles for men, and this makes me so delighted to hear as I think fashion for men is really fun. James left for London earlier today, but before he left we sat down and made a quick little list of must-haves and gift ideas together, so that will be coming soon :)

I sent the camera off to be repaired today, so makeup tutorials or anything else that requieres a camera will be difficult, and so I’m struggeling with ideas for posts. Any input would be much appreciated, so feel free to spam the comment section with ideas for posts you’ve been missing.

Now I’m off to do this week’s third run, hopefully I’ll be adding another 10km which will give my legs 30 km so far this week. I have signed up for a goal of 4 runs each week, and Nike+ knows how to trick me into thinking it’s all very fun. Deep down we all know it’s not fun until it’s over ;)

Hope you’re having a lovely day!! xx

Bionda Castana – quilted leather ankle boots – here

I can’t decide… First time I saw them I fell in love, but they were already sold out and I had a heart ache for days. Now they just happen to walk into my life again and there is only one pair left, and it happens to be my size. It does look a lot like faith is pulling us towards each other, doesn’t it? I’m just not sure if they are worth the price (even though it is the most beautiful quilted leather) considering my little shoe splurge in London.

Decisions, decisions… ;)

What do you think?

Hi sweetest readers,

I had such a great start to the week yesterday with 10km on the treadmill pushing through to a new PR :D I’ve also received some of my blood test results from the nutritionist, so I’m trying to read up on that before I start changing too much. It’s really exciting!! :)

I’ve received quite a lot of questions about what I bought in London, so here you are:

purchases My purchases from London

Beaded bomber jacket & leather front knit – Zara, Boots and heels – Kurt Geiger, Studded boots – Chloe, Bracelet – Anna dello Russo for h&m, Panther ring – Mawi, and products from LUSH.

I actually got a necklace and another bracelet in addition to the one in the picture from the Anna Dello Russo collection, but when I got home it just looked so plasticy and horrid. I then saw someone who I always think looks so stylish wearing the same necklace as I got, and when it even looked bad on her I was sure to give it back.

I must admit I didn’t technically buy the panther ring in London, but I ordered it from London like two days before we left. LOVE it so much! It reminds me of the Cartier ring I blogged about a little while ago. Can’t wait to wear it with the green croc Givenchy bag I ordered. Aaahh, materialistic happiness.

I had planned to buy much more from Zara, but they were quite sold out so I decided to order what I want online instead now that I know for sure which sizes I need, which I’ve actually completely forgotten about – better do that soon :)

My best purchase is definitely the Chloe Susanna boots which I managed to find with a little help from a friend. They are so cool!! Happy, happy, happy :D

Hope you’re having a lovely Tuesday! xx

It was an ecstatic puppy who met us in the door when we came home from London on Friday, and although we were only gone for a few days I could swear he had grown at least a few cm. We spent the rest of the Friday cuddling with the puppy until we all fell asleep wrapped around eachother. Pure joy!

Saturday we took the boat out, and because I’ve shown you so many pictures of our boat rides in the past I decided to make a little video for you guys instead :)

What do you think of the video? :D
