It was a really bad storm in Monaco today, so instead of heading out in the rain for lunch we turned the lounge into a restaurant. I made menus with starters, mains and desserts based on what we had. Quite fun actually :) Now we’re going to attack the home-made chocolate brownie ice cream I made earlier… hello calories!! ;)
Hope you’re having a lovely Saturday too!! xx
The best style is the one that is a mix of affordable and expensive. The cheapest item here is only $20, can you spot what it is?

I am terribly sorry for my absence, sometimes events in my personal life has to come before the blog, I hope you understand. Lots of exciting things will happen, and we will be spending more time in London from now on as well – can’t wait!! :)
I hope all is well with you, cupcakes!! Thank you all so much for your lovely, kind and considerate comments – you always bring a smile to my face and for that I am so thankful! You know what’s coming next…….*group hug* ;D
My new favourite song. I think it only gets better and better each time I listen to it. Such a wonderful voice!
What do you think? :)
I’ve posted this one before, but I just thought it was time to be reminded that everyone has bad days, even celebrities.
Needless to say that makeup can do a lot as the pictures are quite self explanatory.
Hope you are all having a great Monday!! Xx
I’ve recieved tons of requests for a hair tutorial for the look I wore the other day. A messy french fish tail is often seen on the runway, and is always a winner if you don’t have time to wash your hair. In fact, I actually get a better result the day after :)
How to:
1. If you didn’t have time to wash your hair and you tend to get oily roots I recommend starting out with a bit of dry-shampoo. My favourite at the moment is the Batiste Volume dry shampoo. It gives great body and texture to the hair at the same time as it feels and smells fresher. Batiste can be found at Boots/Vita etc and doesn’t cost much (get a travel size to keep in your bag as well, I promise it will come in handy!).
2. Teeze your hair around the crown and run your fingers lightly through it so that it’s still messy and big. If you want a long and thick plait, add in some hair extensions. You can read about my clip ins here.
3. The plait itself is done by using two strands, so start by dividing the hair into two sections. Pull a small strand out of the outside of the first section, and move it over to the back of the second section. Pull a strand outside the other section, and put it under the other section you used first, and keep repeating to the end. The smaller the strands, the cooler the result. I like to do it quite tightly and then I go back and make a controlled mess afterwards.
4. Once the plait is done, I hold the tip of the plait with my left hand while teezing the plait upwards with my right hand. I then loosen it up evenly until I get the messy look I want. Don’t use a normal hair tie, the result of using a see-through hair tie or wrapping your own hair around the end is so much cooler and it costs so little. I like “Blax ties” as they don’t damage the hair, you can find them here.
Lastly, some messy plait inspiration for you:
Good morning sweets,
I am spending my morning updating all my apples so that they are connected at all times. Makes the geek in me very happy :) It’s taking its sweet time though…
This weekend a lovely reader tweeted me about an insane woman on facebook that has stolen pictures of Linus, calling him Loubie Lou and is making up wacky stories about how “she” is such a celebrity wherever she takes “her”. First I got so angry, but now I just think it’s really sad. Imagine how sad your life must be if you spend your time making up a fake life online using other peoples photos… ;( If anything, this is such a reminder of how fortunate I am – especially now with Linus in my life ❤
The saying “There is a reason for everything” is something I live by, and so maybe this was life’s little way of giving me a reminder for being thankful for what I’ve got and to remind you how fortunate you are as well. It is really important to think about how lucky we are once in a while, or everyday if possible. An instant way of feeling happier anyway :D
Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday with a big smile on your face! :D xx
This week has been rather eventful for the author of this blog, and unfortunately it has been a majority of less pleasant events which I have found myself struggeling with more than I should have. I can normally deal with very little sleep and a boyfriend traveling abroad without getting whiny. When I craved chocolate cake for dinner yesterday (oh yes, I did!), I knew something was up. Something that hasn’t been around for about a month… ;) Now that I’ve determined the cause of my sudden 48 hour depression, I feel like my cheery ol’ self again. Hurrah!!
Anyway, as promised, here are outfit pictures with one of my new and already highly loved steals from The Outnet which sold out soooo fast – the Alexander Wang Rocco in patent bordeaux leather ❤
Yes, I am working really hard on looking my best on the picture to the left striking the tackiest pose I have ever seen my self do. As for the bag I realise it needs to be banged around a little before it gets that cool and slouchy look, and I think I prefer it without the strap, but I love the sophisticated messy look of it!! It’s the perfect colour to go with the Tom Ford Black Orchid nail and lip colour which I have found my self obsessing about yet again, two years after purchase.

Laura wrote a post about this lipstick a little while ago saying she used it as a stain rather than a full on bloody pout, and the result on her was beautiful. It is worth mentioning that Laura has an incredible eye for beauty products and is the one who influenced me into becoming a makeup addict in the first place when she was doing youtube videoes. This lipstick has been a favourite of mine for fall/winter for a couple of years now, but never had I thought about using it as a stain. Obviously I leapt straight into my lipstick rack and got myself my very own red wine stained lips which I prettyfied with a bit of pink lipgloss.
How has your day been?? Hope you’re having a lovely Saturday!! xx
Hi sweets!!
I know I promised you an outfit post today with some of the new items I got from the Outnet, but I will have to postpone it. After having had very little sleep for several weeks, and no sleep yesterday due to Linus being ill, I haven’t had the energy to be able to concentrate on anything other than hearing from James. He stepped on a flight in one country in Asia flying to another yesterday, and then I didn’t hear anything from him when I was supposed to.
Worst feeling in the world.
Fortunately he just called and it was nothing serious, and I can finally breathe again :) I think I will have an early night tonight as I could really use a bit of beauty sleep.
I hope you’ve had a lovely day and that you are enjoying your Friday night!! xx
Thank you for your concern about Linus, you are such wonderful readers!! The vet did a x-ray and found nothing serious, just a bit of tummy trouble so he got an injection, and some medicin for us to take home. Poor thing. I was in such a rush this morning that I didn’t notice the phony grin on his face haha, what a silly little dog ♥
Cashmere jumper – Inhabit (scored here) // Faux leather trousers – Asos (old) // Shoes – Topshop // Bag – Celine // Necklace – here
Messy braid – always a winner when one doesn’t have time to wash it ♥
This necklace is the same as the blue one I wore yesterday which I received so many comments on both here and on Instagram. They are originally J Crew design, but after having discovered Etsy they came home to me at a fraction of the price – score! Etsy is actually a really great place for the jewellery of this kind.
I got this weeks second package from The Outnet when I came from the vet, a big box full of amazing things!! I am planning on wearing some of it tomorrow so you’ll see some of it then ;) LOVE The Outnet!!
Hope you are having a lovely day!! xx
