It has arrived!!!! By IT I am obviously talking about the Hervé Léger top I managed to win at THE OUTNET.COM. Well, I didn’t exactly win it but it sure feels like it because everytime there is something extra special coming in it disappears before you even manage to bring out the credit card. So when I paid for this top I could just feel the pain of the 200 other girls having the same top in their basket hoping to score a big fashion item for less than half the price, meehee :D I WON!!! :D

Because I love you so much I will share my secret weapon for winning the item: Have your credit card in front of you before you go to the site and pay for your item straight away without looking for more. This is the only way you can win something. If it doesn’t fit you can always send it back and have your money back :)

Due to a very late night yesterday and a very early morning today I’m finding it extremely hard to keep my eyes open and focus on anything sensable. It’s only 15 minutes left untill the cleaner leaves so I’ve got to manage to keep up untill that. As soon as she leaves I will be lying in bed wearing James’s t-shirt watching “The Secret Circle” which is based on the book by L.J Smith. If you like series like “The Vampire Diaries” and “Pirty Little Liars” you will definitely like this one as well. It’s all in there: teenagers, love, independance, witches, demons, spells, tragedies, heroes, faith and lies. Somehow it lures you in.. perfect for dark windy and rainy nights like these! Yesterday ootd and dinner

Yesterdays dress is one of my absolute favorite dresses and is also the one I’m wearing in the header. It’s from Herve Leger which I bought in Paris last autumn. We flew in with a private jet from London whilst Caroline, the sales director of Herve Leger globally, flew in from New York to see us in the Herve Leger store in Paris with the very new spring collection for 2011.

This is the first time in history Herve Leger has ever done a private trunk show for an individual. They gathered the collection from New York, L.A, Milan, basically all over the world, just for us and closed the shop for the day so that we could see and try on the collection in private. All of the pieces were the same items that had been worn on the catwalk, some of the items were never even produced other than for the catwalk. There was some amazing pieces from the collection and we really felt like princesses trying on the dresses whilst drinking champagne knowing that magazines like Vogue and Elle were still waiting to get their hands on them whilst those trying to come into the store were turned away. The occasion for the dress yesterday was a romantic dinner together before James were leaving for London and Dubai this morning. We decided to go to L’Argentin which is a wonderful restaurant located in the Fairmont hotel. Most of the dishes is being prepared next to the table which I love :D

We have all experienced the agony of dropping a powder product onto the floor and seeing it break into a million pieces. We keep the broken product because we love it way too much to throw it away, but everytime we use it the powder goes all over the place. If only there was a solution…

No need to throw it away, and no need to keep a broken product in your stash. I’ve got the solution!! :D

1. Put your item on top of a big piece of paper or a towel to protect the work surface, and start to mash up the rest of the product in the case untill it becomes a powder. I just used a small tweezer to do it.

2. Pour in a little bit of alcohol solution, I bought my 70% alcohol solution in the supermarket by the plasters and things.

3. Mix the alcohol into the powder untill it becomes a paste like texture. There is no real answer to how much to pour in, just do a little bit at a time to get the right texture and it should be fine.

4. Try to get the paste as compact as possible and flatten out the surface.

5. Sanitize your hands. If your hands are not fully sanitized you may end up with a crisp layer on top of the powder. Get a piece of kitchen paper or an old but very clean towel and put it on top of the powder to make it absorb the excess alcohol. Continue doing this untill your powder is starting to get drier. You probably need to do this at least 20 times. When the powder is getting drier, you need to put more pressure on it to really squeeze out the last bit of alcohol.

6.  When you feel you can’t squeeze out anymore liquid, you leave it to dry. Depending on how good your sqeezing job was it can take 2-5 hours untill it’s dry, I left mine over night just to be sure.

Tadaaa! The blush is just as new :D If you were wondering, the cheap but very amazing contour product I performed this to is a Nyx blush named Taupe. It’s hands down my absolute favorite contour product!!

Recipe for the chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

  • 400 g flour
  • 50 g almond flour
  • 1 ts. baking powder
  • 1 ts. salt
  • 220 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 g cane sugar
  • 1 ts. vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g white chocolate

You can switch out the dark chocolate for smarties or other kinds of chocolate, you can even add caramel toffee as well. As for almond flour you can choose whether you want to buy almond flour or finely grind the almonds yourself.

1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
2. Stir in the eggs and vanilla, and blend in the flour and almond flour.
3. Finally, stir in the chocolate.
4. Put the dough on cling film and roll it together into a sausage.

5. Put the sausage in the freezer for 2 hours, and then cut it up into 1-2 cm slices. Prehet your oven to 190 degrees.

6. Put your delicious looking slices onto ungreased cookie sheets.

7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

The streets in Monaco are completely empty on rainy winter Sundays. I guess people are doing the same us, staying in and snuggled up enjoying the last bit of weekend :D We’ve spent our Sunday baking delicious chocolate chip cookies!! Baking with James is like baking with kids which is why I don’t have any pictures of the actual baking, my full attention needs to be on him as soon as he steps near the dough haha..
