Alexander Sprekenhus does it again! After I had such amazing results with the SLS-free and Paraben-free moisturising shampoo and conditioner I realised that this brand is something I wouldn’t want to pass me by so I got a serum for fine hair called Hair Styling Elixir. Every summer my hair gets dry, tangled and frizzy from the sun and salt water which is why I always end up having to chop off so much hair at the end of the season. This summer however the lovely hairdresser Gemma at Nicky Clarck barely touched the ends as my hair was in such a good condition!

Not only does the serum make hair shiny, moistend and managable, it also protects it from heat and makes the hair dry quicker! Although I’ve been using it ever since I got it a couple of months ago I’m not even half way through the bottle of 30 ml, it seems to last forever!

Ingredients:

Cyclopentasiloxane + Dimethicone = A safe conditioning combination of silicones that doesn’t cause build ups or hurt the hair in any way like other silicones may do.
Phenyl Trimethicone = A very popular high gloss silicone with heat resistance that improves the texture of hair that has been damaged by chemical treatment.
Argania Spinosa = Argan Oil which is a luxurious oil with moisturizing, softening and silkening effects that also boosts shine and corrects frizz while not feeling greasy or oily on the hair.
Kernel Oil=  High in the antioxidant beta-carotene and saturated fatty acids. Leaves hair feeling thick and conditioned.
Cannabis Sativa = Very rich in fatty acids which moisturizes the hair.
Phthalate-Free Fragrance =  Free of phtahalate which are hormone-mimicking chemicals that interfere with normal hormone production.

Hello Celina! I’m a huge fan from Canada! I love your reviews and tutorials. Have you come across any products that give lasting volume to limp hair?

Hello sweetie!! That makes me so happy to hear, thank you so much <3

Lasting volume is difficult! I've found that a bit of Frederic Fekkai Au Naturel Dry Shampoo in the roots makes it lighter but since it is a white powder it really only works on blondes. I know that there are other dry shampoos for darker hair but I'm not sure which one is the best one in terms of ingredients. Hair cut and the technique of blow drying can also make a huge difference! Powders like the Dust it from Schwarzkoph are ok if you don't mind the sticky feeling in the roots. I hope that was helpful :) xx

Oh I read some article about the harmful SLS for the hair. This SLS is used to foam the substance. I am even alarmed to see that most toothpastes has SLS component in the label. I might suggest people to take heed and try not to use it.
