It’s now over three weeks since I ordered the Givenchy Antigona green croc bag from MyTheresa, and after having sent far too many unanswered emails and phonecalls to customer care, I saw no other choice than contacting them through the marketing department. Unfortunately that was what was needed to be done to get an explanation and compensation. Obviously I’m happy to have it resolved and to get a €200 compensation, but would I have received that if I hadn’t mentioned I’m a blogger? I mentioned my issue in the comment section and some of you stated you had luck with the customer care in the past, so I’m hoping this was a terrible mistake on their behalf. However, I would love to hear about your experiences with MyTheresa as I wouldn’t want to refer anyone to their site if my experience shows to be common.

Yes, I’m so disappointed. I have looked everywhere for the bag, but it’s sold out :( What really annoys me is that I started buying jewellery and clothes to go with the bag, and that was worth more than the €200 compensation they gave me. Oh well. Everything happens for a reason, right? That must mean there is a really magnificent bag coming my way soon ;)

No, I’m hoping they will refund the whole amount (haven’t checked if it’s in yet), and then I got €200 om top of that as compensation. Apparently that’s €180 more than I’d get from net-a-porter so maybe it’s not too bad. It just annoyed me they wouldn’t return my emails and phonecalls.

Yes! Really annoying :( I guess the right thing to do is sending the bag back and nerver going to order there again.. but you know… I wanted that bag sooo badly and it wasn’t easy to find and I was just tired of searching for it. :D

I have ordered from this site once and one of the items, a belt, came in a original little box with a certificate and the belt itself is marked with a number. I did not have any problems with this site nor with the delivery but having read some reviews now I see that people are either very satisfied or very discontent. Based on the reviews I would advice you to pay in euros if you chose to place the order and with paypal as this seems to be one of the problems when converting to dollars etc. Uuh its a really difficult one.
As much as I want, need and crave this bag I think I’ll follow my gut and pass on this site. I’m really thankful for your help though, and hope your belt is real!! Xx

Raffaello Network is not a legitimate seller of any of the brands on its website. It is selling high quality fakes, models that often don’t even exist in the true collection of the designer, so please check the real collection of the designer before buying.
If you go to this place anyway, at least you’ll know that you will get a fake, and you will the judge of what price you want to pay for this.
My references are my from my own inquisition, including contacting designers, and authenticing a pair of shoes I bought from Raffaello Network (logo obviously applied reverse, unusual hill, unusual tag, unusual label, and model number that simply doesn’t exist. Please beware.

So sorry that you did not receive the stunning Givenchy bag. I actually had a similar experience from Harvey Nichols. I ordered something in their web shop, and was waiting everyday for it. But sadly it never arrived, and after two weeks I did contact them only to know that they messed up my order and then of course – sold out. No compensation either. So thank you, Harvey Nichols. I have not ordered from there since, so I guess they missed out on one customer back then. But I have been very happy with Luisa Via Roma, Harrods, Forward by Elyse Walker, myWardrobe and Net-A-Porter. Very friendly and helpful customer service and super fast delivery. I can’t believe 1. MyTheresa didn’t send you the bag you ordered, and 2. not answering your emails. Shame on them, but the compensation must be nice. I always thought MyTheresa was this amazing luxurious e-retailer, but oviously not. I must say that you are super good at finding pretty treasures on The Outnet. :)

Reading yours and the above comments makes me think that MyTheresa isn’t too bad after all considering the compensation. I think it’s so unprofessional not to answer emails though, and I’m aghast it’s so common amongst online stores :O TheOutnet did a similar thing last year when I had ordered a really great Herve Leger dress, but they came back to me the day after and I got a nice compensation. It’s a few years ago though, I might give them the benefit of the doubt. It seems to me that MyTheresa actually wants to make it right, as I believe the compensation you got, was very high. But not something I would know, since I only missed out on one item years ago, with none compensation. But you did contact the marketing department, and of course they want a good reputation. And the customer service department can’t just stop answering emails from their customers, I mean Harrods, the most known store in the world will reply the same day, or just call the next day. The same goes with Luisa Via Roma and Net-A-Porter, both of them have the best customer service advisors. Hope you get use of the compensation, it’s many treasures out there to be found. :) When you are looking for new bags and other treasures, do you use shopstyle.com? I use it all the time!! It’s like this shopping site, were every store in the world is listed with everything they have in the store. It’s very organized, and makes finding an item so much easier. You might find you dream bag there, I have found several ! :)
OK.. I want a Balenciaga bag… BUT how on earth am I supposed to pick a color when there are soooo many beautiful ones that I want?!! I know you had this issue before. :/ What color would you suggest for an everyday bag that can also transfer to spring as well as fall? I feel that I deserve a new bag and what better than a Balenciaga. Or would you suggest another type of bag? Hermes? Prada? Givenchy? What is your opinion on quality. I have a Givenchy already and a Louis Vuitton as well as a Chanel and a few other Kate Spade…Michael Kors…Marc Jacobs.

Oh yes, finding the right colour is a tough one, non the less which bag and brand.
As for quality Hermes is second to none, so if you can afford it I’d definitely go for a birkin.
As for a Balenciaga, I think they are just as gorgeous in pitch rock black as a pop of colour, and obviously the neutreal colours which you know I ended up with as they work well all year around. I would say it depends on what colours you have already.
Right now I’ personally loving the Givenchy Antigona family, most of The Celine bags, the YSL Cabas Chyc family, as well as the classics of Chanel, Hermes and Balenciaga. Oh, and I also like the Proenza Schouler bags!
I could write a thesis on this hahaha.. Love bags!! Sounds like you have an amazing collection, Krystle, so I’m sure you’ll end up with something great :D

Anyway, I see that you really want that Givenchy Antigona bag. I live in Paris, and I was shopping three days ago, aaaaaand you can find the bag at the Givenchy boutique on François Ier. They still have one left ! A saleswoman told me it was reserved and then the woman gave it back (didn’t really follow much of the story).

Is there a reason why Reebonz and MyTheresa sell items at a higher price than what I see here in the States? For example, Reebonz is selling the Coach Candace carryall for $601, but stores here are selling it for $458. Hmm, maybe I should start buying things here, and selling them for slightly more, but less than these sites? ;)
I think it depends on the brand. Some brands are cheaper in France and Italy, and some are cheaper in the US. Many people are doing great business of this on Ebay so I don’t see why you wouldn’t too ;)
Oh no! I have ordered lots of bags, shoes and dresses from mytheresa, and I don’t recognize that treatment at all. I have honestly always found their customer service to be professional, polite and helpful. They wrap everything in luxurious boxes, and they deduct the VAT also, so I have always been a happy shopper:-). I don’t always find DHL to be the best shopping companion, but that’s a different story…
Knowing mytheresa and assuming the bag cost *a bit* more than EUR200, I would say this is a compensation in addition to the refund for the bag. :-) They might get it in stock again also, but maybe you all ready checked that? It was a good bag, don’t give up! :)
Btw, and a bit unrelated to this post- what are you feelings on buying vintage/ second hand designers items? Ever heard about http://www.vestiairecollective.com/ ? French women selling their overstock items online, and it seems to be very safe for both buyer and seller.
I think if I would find a piece of great condition at a good price I wouldn’t mind if it was second hand or vintage. It’s very environment friendly as well. I haven’t seen this cintage shop you linked to, thank you for sharing :)

Du har nok litt rett i det at luften har gått litt ut av ballongen, samtidig som det er en del som skjer ellers óg slik at det har vært lite tid til overs. Det er klart at det føles trist at noen ukjente mennesker har en feiloppfatning av meg uten at jeg har noe mulighet til å rette opp i det. Både mine nærmeste og jeg vet at dersom disse menneskene hadde kjent meg hadde de visst at det ikke er noe hold i disse anklagelsene, så det er ikke slik at jeg ikke sover om natten… Det er bare så trist at noen mennesker velger å gå ut ifra det verste. Hva skjedde med “tvilen skal komme tiltalte til gode”? Tankegangen til disse menneskene som har bestemt seg for å kaste seg over tastaturet for å trakassere meg er så langt ifra min egen, at jeg har litt vanskelig for å forstå disse menneskene og dermed bestemme meg for hvordan jeg skal gå frem med bloggen. Jeg vet ikke om det er snakk om 13 år gamle kranglefanter eller den vanlige kvinnen i gaten som rett og slett bare har misforstått og har vanskelig for å ordlegge seg. Jeg vet heller ikke hva alle de tusenvis av menneskene som leser og ikke kommenterer tenker.. Heldigvis er de fleste kommentarene jeg har fått angående dette positive :D
Det er klart at dette er en del av blogging, men det har ingenting med å være tykkhudet å gjøre som noen tidligere har nevnt, jeg personlig har det like fint som før dette skjedde. Om konstruktiv kritikk innebærer å kritisere det de tror er livet mitt derimot kan jo diskuteres. Konstruktiv kritikk til en blogger bør vel strengt tatt kun dreie seg om det det skrives om på bloggen. Igjen lurer jeg da på hva slags mennesker som sitter på andre siden av tastaturet..
Problemet er at jeg synes det er litt vanskelig å plukke opp tråden fra hvor bloggen var da jeg selvfølgelig vil unngå lignende misoppfatninger i fremtiden, og det har ført til at jeg er litt usikker på hvordan jeg skal gå frem med bloggen.
Nå ble det plutselig veldig langt haha.. og du fineste Dwightinha har bestandig bare vært kjempe hyggelig og det er absolutt ingenting her som er rettet mot deg!! Kjedelig å høre at du har hatt noen twist and turns, håper det er snakk om ting som kan ordne seg! Sender deg en klem <3
