Hi everyone,
Yesterday we went for Thai food in Soho and then to Ronnie Scotts Jazz club to see the concierge preform, and he was really good!! Today the interior designers and a couple of carpenters are running around. I reckon I’ll be able to hang up some clothes in the dressing room today, but due to one unit breaking yesterday it won’t be finished until we get another unit in. Hopefully it will all be up next week! So far it’s looking really great, and I’m incredibly excited about the room!
By the end of the week the interior designers will come back with suggestions to room layouts and then we can start the best part – looking through catalogues and choosing pieces of furniture!! I’ve already found a few items I would like, and I’m confident I’ll find lots of beautiful furniture in their catalogues as well! Having interior designers help out makes such a difference, I can’t believe we didn’t do that in Monaco! They basically come to measure all the rooms and then you tell them what kind of style you like. They then present you with a range of different options in your style and in a size that fits your home which you can choose from. You can let them choose everything entirely if you want, but I like to have a say in what furniture I@ll have in my home so I want to choose the furniture myself :)
In the end of the week we’re hoping to start the process of the home gym too. I still haven’t had one single workout this year and I really miss it so much! I might head out for a run later today actually, green park or hyde park are both lovely!
Hope you’re having a great day!! xx

Smashing I bet ;)
Go girl!
<3
I might be reading too much into this, but I noticed you’re wearing a ring on your left ring finger. Any exciting news to share with us?? ;)
Haha, no nothing like that. It’s the opposite hand in Norway ;)
Same as in Denmark then, but considering James is English and you’re not living in Norway which hadn would you then put it on? I am Swedish and married to an Australian so I wear it on my left even if I am working in Denmark where they wear it on th eright

I haven’t thought about it yet.. I’m one of those very few girls that hasn’t got my wedding planned out yet and wouldn’t mind getting married on a beach without anyone knowing :)
I agree with you Celina, I don’t know why getting married it’s so important nad indispensable. I understand that for some people and some cultures getting married plays an important part and I respect it but I think love, trust and show sb respect it’s the most important thing for being together. Btw. Wish you and James lot’s of love <3 Can't wait for pictures of your new apartment and think that interior designer it's great idea!
Having interior designers creating your apartment is a great idea! But I think it is more than obvious that a person with an average income can barely afford such a luxury. All of my friends in their mid-twenties with a good job and a decent salary bought their furniture and designed their homes themselves. The same goes for their older friends of mine. You are very lucky to have James who hired those interior designers!
No need to get snappy, I didn’t say everyone should do it ;)
Don’t mind those comments Celina. If I had the money I would do it 2! Can’t wait to see the pictures!!
Thank you, Sine <3
Tusen takk, Dwightinha! :)
Yes, me too!
The whole point of this blog (for me anyway), is that it’s an ASPIRATIONAL lifestyle blog! I first came across Celina just after she went to Paris for a Herve Leger dress (as I was looking for one too!) and reading her blog has made me strive to change my life for the better!
Soon after, I finished my degree, believed in myself and got a great job which I love (even if the stress is difficult to cope with at times) and moved away from my home town and bought myself a flat (albeit not as big as Celina’s) in the best area within my City. I find that even though I have a fantastic group of friends and a great guy, it is great when I am feeling stressed that there is somewhere I can come to read about a lovely life that has nothing to do with my own.
Celina, please do not listen to the haters, it was awful when you stopped your blog for a while! I love how you let us in to your life.
Wow, amazing to read how wonderfully you’ve done, Laura!! Well done :)
cant wait to see what it looks like celina! its going to be gorgeous just like you! hopefully we bump onto eachother oneday in london xxxx
That would be lovely!! :)
Your own gym that sounds really exciting! I have thought about having my own gym too but I’m afraid I’m too lazy to work out on my own :) I have found that the only way I exercise frequently is by going to a female gym with friends but we always have a drink afterwards so It’s worth the pain hehe
by the way I also have the PAX system and I love it!It’s not high quality but It’s affordable and practical so it’s ok :) You must buy the necklace organizer it’s really useful!
Female gym with friends sounds nice, I’m afraid I would do more chatting than actual workout though hehe.. Having a gym at home would mean I would start the day in that room no matter what. At least that’s my plan ;) The room has an on suite bathroom so I’ll fill it with makeup and hair products so I will have to go into the gym anyway to get ready in the morning :)
I haven’t seen the necklace organiser, do you have a link?
Hello!
I’ve enjoyed reading your website over the past year and always look forward to a new post. You are a breath of fresh, spunky air!
My question is in regards to decorating your London flat. I noticed that it looks like you are leaning towards a similar aesthetic that you have in your Monaco home. I love perusing your Pinterest boards and am curious- have you ever thought about changing up your (and James’) style? More color or a different vibe such as bohemian, industrial, etc?
Hi Leslie,
I’m happy you enjoy the blog :)
I don’t think the style is very similar, it’s more of a city look imo. I will show the flat once it’s finished :)
I’m really surprised at how mannerful and loving you are, judging by you said literally NOTHING to Liane’s comment!
Glad! :D
And, can’t wait to see ur new apartment!! :D
I’ve learnt to not be bothered with silly comments, life’s just too short ;) xx
I’m so excited to see what the end results will be. I love decorating. You’re a good decorator so you don’t need professionals but it is nice having someone help with all the small details. I’m dying to see what your new closet will look like! Your closet in Monaco is my dream!!
Where do you plan on ordering most of your furniture from? Do you know any good sites?
Lots of love
Krystle xxoo
Thank you! Yes, it’s nice to not have to do the boring bits, I reckon we’ll save quite some time as well as they normally get furniture much faster than we would through furniture stores. The closet is coming together nicely, hopefully it will be fully done by the end of next week.
For the flat in Monaco we got a big chunk from a store in Dubai, we also got a big delivery from Restoration Hardware in NY which should be easy for you to reach. Last bits are from little shops around Monaco and Milan :) This time I guess we’ll be ordering some furniture through the catalogues of the interior designers. I’ve also found some shops in the UK that I like, like “The sofa and chair company”, “Eichholtz” and “the furniture market”.
Do you know of any good sites? :)
xx
Yes I’ve actually purchased several pieces from restoration hardware. Great classic pieces that will last. I love that place.
I don’t know any great places. I’ve bought a lot of stuff from crate and barrel , pottery barn, as well as Ikea.
I tend to find no name things I love but its always rare and when I least expect it.
I really love all of your inspiration for decorating. You have such great style.
You’re right…decorators can get things a lot faster. You should be completely set in your London home soon. So exciting.
Have you done any shopping while in London? Is there any new favorite places you have discovered? For clothes, shoes, bags …makeup etc?
Lots of love
Krystle xxoo
Yes, that is so true.. the best pieces are found when you least expect it! I haven’t had time to go shopping yet, but hopefully it won’t be long. I really want to check out the sales before they end!! :) xx
Hei Celina :)
Decorating will be so fun… I am moving into a new apartment in 2 months and already picking stuff out I cant wait to see what I come up with luckily its just me so I dont have to worry about incorporating another persons style into it.
@Liane I dont think she was suggesting everyone get an interior decorator she is speaking of HER plans for HER apartment. Obviously you decorate within your means.
Decorating is so much fun! I remember when I was decorating my own apartment in Norway, it was really fun to just go with what ever I wanted! Not that James is being difficult or anything, but as you say you have to incorporate both personalities. I’m sure you’re apt will turn out amazing :)
(and thank you for the support, you are quite right!) xx
I found your blog last week, i am so excited about it and read it the last three days. I am now your constant reader from germany;-)
I have a question and a request:
- Request: please let your blog like it is (i love it), do not that commercial style like The Blond Salad (she is no inspiration anymore :-( Not because of her success, but because of her not wearable style now)
- Question: what brand is your blouse? I love it!
Hi Fabellimo! So happy to hear you enjoy the blog, thank you! How did you find it? :)
My blouse is from Mango, I bought it in July so maybe if you’re lucky you could find it in the sales?
Hi Celina,
I’ve been following your blog since just before Christmas last year while I was google-ing some make-up ideas for brown eyes, and I just wanted to tell you that I find your blog very inspirational. I am in my early/ mid twenties, working as a young professional in a ‘man’s world’ (property/construction) and your passion for fashion/ beauty, grounded character and great beauty tips have indirectly boosted my confidence. You’ve even got me thinking about starting a blog too!
Keep up the good work ;)
If you get a chance, visit Bath while your in the UK, you might like it :)
Hi Ashton!
I’m so happy to hear you’ve found inspiration in the blog and it’s wonderful you feel more confident!! I can’t think of a better comment for a blogger to receive, thank you. I will visit Bath, it sounds lovely :)
I kind of agree with you on the interior designers – some friends of mine did that, and the designers didn’t really charge _that_ much, because they also got commissions from the companies they ended up buying the furniture from. And even if doing it yourself is of course always nice, I sometimes feel that I’m missing that little extra touch that makes it all come together 100% right, simply because I don’t know everything there is to know about how one set of colors and textiles affect others, how the light works, etc.
That said, I really like what you did in the apt in Monaco (so perhaps a future vocation for you?:)).
Thank you so much for your kind words, that means a lot to me! :)
You’re right, having an interior designer really doesn’t have to cost that much. Like you I also sometimes feel I’m missing something or doubt myself and it’s nice to not have to do the less interesting bits of the process.
…and interior designer doesn’t have to mean “overly talkative person wearing pink feather boa and lots of bling, flying in from Hollywood to redo your apartment”.
Hahahaha, so true :D
Hej Celina!
Stor klem
The second picture is soooo cute! Looks like Linus is smiling while looking at you =)
How exciting for you guys! I’m so happy for you! Can’t wait to see more pictures as it comes around.

Hi Celina!
I read your blog every day and can’t believe I haven’t left a comment till now!! It’s a question more than a comment I have really……what catalogues/stores have you been looking at for your furniture etc?? I live in London too and have just bought a house in Scotland (as I’m from there) and I am soooo excited about decorating!!! Your flat in Monaco was decorated beautifully so I know you will have lots of great sources! xxx
Hi Stefanie!
Congratulations on your new house in Scotland :) I will share everything about the new furniture and shops in a post very soon ;) xx
