I am so excited that I can’t even stay still while writing this. As I was packing for Norway the mail man came by and dropped off un petit paquet pour moi. It was a new set of hair extensions and I’m thrilled about the colour and everything about it!!! As we’re heading towards summer I decided to go for a colour that is slightly lighter than the colour I had last time as my own hair is a smidgen lighter from the sun already, and let me tell you the colour couldn’t be more perfect!! I love that it’s a mix of different shades of blonde – that’s so hard to find in clip in extensions! The hair itself is so silky soft, and it amazes me how thick it is, it’s like the same amount of hair as I’ve got! I’m so happy it arrived before my photoshoot on Friday :) *happy dance*
Don’t you just adore that little Tiffany blue bow? :)
I like that they use the same colour on the clips as of the hair – very clever! The reason to why I like to use clip in extensions instead of the permanent options is that it’s much less damaging on the hair.
Can you believe how shiny that is :D
There are many ways to attach it, but this is how I like to do it:
I tease the hair slightly first and then I start off by attaching the 3-clip one in the neck and work my way upwards. You want to leave a bit of hair on the crown so that you have enough to cover the clips. In the end I just attach the 2-clips ones on the sides and ake sure there is enough hair on top. It takes me about 5 minutes to attach all of them, so it’s really much easier than it might seem.
I found this online store last year and ordered a pack of hair which I obviously payed for myself. After I wrote a post about it, they contacted me to ask if I wanted to hold a contest for you guys as you already know. For this I got a pack of hair for free, but I would never advice you to buy anything I don’t love myself, hence my first post about the hair. Finding good quality hair is really difficult as it often lose all its shine and gets all tangled up after just a few times of use. I have 3-4 packs of hair from other hair extension brands that I had to throw away after just a couple of weeks :/ You get what you pay for, and if you put in a bit extra it will last you for what seems infinitely longer.
This hair from this store is real remy hair which means that the hair is sewn onto the clips in the same direction as it grows so that the cuticle is kept intact. The problem is that many hair extension brands lie about their hair and say that it’s remy hair even if it’s not which is why it’s so difficult to find the real thing. If it’s not real remy hair then the hair is sewn onto the clips in both directions of the natural growth (plus plasticy hair mixed in) and this is what causes the tangling. I’m never ever going to buy hair from anywhere else as I’m so happy I’ve finally found a store where they have real remy hair, amazing choices of colours and super thick and silky smooth hair as well.
The colour I chose is called #60/24 – Sandy Blonde, I have one pack plus two quad clips :)
